  1. You have a very fun project. I made one for a little sail boat I was going to build. Boat never got built, but the wheel is hanging on my wall.
  2. Very beautiful cross. Super scrolling.
  3. Going to be a beautiful box. My guess. I wish I could find why my Ex has developed a vibration. I've replaces all the bearings, adjusted the motor back and forth. Guess I will tear it apart again and see if I can find a loose nut other than the one that uses it....
  4. Great work. Looks like fun.
  5. 1. I usually start in a detailed area to get some of the hard stuff out of the way and lend more support to the fragile pieces. 2. I follow the lines, unless it doesn't appear there will been enough support to hold the piece next to where I am cutting. In that case I go to either side of the line to give more support. Whatever you do don't make sudden corrections. Drift back to were you want to be if possible. Less noticeable. 3. Normally I scroll clockwise but sometimes I can't. No sure what the difference it makes, more just habit.
  6. Doesn't seem slow here but Facebook is terrible for me.
  7. Nice cutting...
  8. Sweet, great work.

  15. Hi Joe! Glad you are joining use. There are a couple of us Washingtonians here. I am in the S.E. the owner of this forum is in Vancouver. I know you will enjoy your stay.
  16. Dick I know what the problem is. You hold the ipad vertical when you take the picture and the horizontal when you download the picture...
  17. Good stuff, Kevin. You wear me out just following... bet you are tired!
  18. Really nice, Kevin.
  19. Thank you all for the nice comments. Making this turned out to be really fun and rewarding. People that saw it while I was cutting it kinda shrugged their shoulders and softly said "that's cool". When I got done and showed them a picture it was "WOW that is really cool"... that kind of thing. The lights will really add to it. Not sure that pattern is in the three books I bought but it may be. I know I have seen it. I purchased the patterns from Kyle at http://woodyoubelieveshop.blogspot.com/p/patterns-on-cd.html. I bought them several months ago. I got the books 15, 16, 17 package. Really hard to decide which to buy. It does have the "Nativity Pyramid" in it is that the one you did?
  20. That is really neat picture frame. Yep it looks like one of those little fellers. I'm a fan.
  21. Very nicely done. Only thing that would make it better would be if it was the Seahawks.
  22. I only used them in snow outlines going down the mountain. The rest of the time I used the 2/0 PS (Penguin Silver) blade. I really like that blade. Really like to come over, but things are busy right now. Two trips to Portland yet this month and a trip to Memphis next month. Plus my house is all tore up getting painted inside and refinishing the baseboards and such. I want to work in a trip to your place some how.
  23. I can't keep up with Dick, but I do sneak to the scrollsaw once and a while when my wife leaves. She has me painting the interior of the house. Don't know why there was still some paint left on the walls. Anyway, this is what I have been working on. Finished cutting it this evening, but can't finish until I order some lights to add to it. This is a Volkner pattern. I order several of his pattern books, hope to get to them eventually. I found this to be very fun to scroll, and put together. Can't wait to get lights and hook them in. I think it will look great on my Daughter's fireplace mantel this holiday season and my Grandson should enjoy it.
  24. Ha, very good Dick! There is one in Pinterest that is painted like Rudolph with a red nose. Might have your daughter do her magic on it and paint it up.
  25. High gear, I guess! You are going to catch up with Kevin at this rate. Very nice job. You are getting me in the Christmas spirit.
