I go to Office Depot, no problem, but I have heard of others that had the problem you had.

In 2013 Daniel Hart posted a pattern of a Red Hawk he had taken a picture of. He also posted a beautifuled scroll picture he did with the pattern. I have always wanted to do the pattern but was waiting for the right piece of wood. I came across the piece of wood a couple weeks ago when I moved a stack of wood I had. This piece just fell out. Almost went to the burn pile with the other wood. Here is my attempt at Dan's pattern. Hope I didn't butcher it too bad. What a tough piece to cut. Red Wood burl, some spots so soft they turn to powder when cut some so hard I didn't think I would get the little blade through it. Thank you Dan for the awesome pattern.

Bernd, have you check out this site for box patterns and such? I have several of his patterns, have cut the "Five Dragon Box" but have a lot of sanding to do in it. He is in Spain. I just finished a Volkner pattern and he has patterns for pyramids. I have his pattern for a nativity pyramid I plan on starting soon. WOW some very beautiful scrolled pieces. Glad to have you join us. Like said, you certainly know which end of a scroll saw to sit in front of. Other than the woods mentioned I have used White Genia rose wood, bloodwood, walnut, popular and basswood.

The second nice thing about an add on pump is they put out the same amount of air no matter how fast or slow you run your saw. My Hegner seems to, but all the other saws I have had/have, the slower you run the saw the less air pumped. That is why I keep looking for an "add on" pump for my Ex. Great find, great great price. I hope it last a good long time. It should, they are built to run for long periods at a time. I wife has an oxygen pump for when she sleeps. It is a much bigger unit, but it does get warm.

I glued 5 or 6 1/2" pieces together once and turned a vase, it held for that.. Course CA glue is probably more expensive than epoxy.

You did an awesome job on that pattern. You must be a natural. That is one fine pattern.

I really like that. CA glue will hold corian together also and quicker. I bet whomever buys that turns it into a wall hanging. I would. Too neat to put under a pot!

When I cut thin and/or very soft wood, I use the Flying Dutchman Penguin Silver 2/0. (PS-2/0). It is a very non-aggressive blade. It comes in larger sizes if you do not like that small of a blade. There is a Penguin Silver Reverse (PSR) also that is a little more aggressive. It also works go on thin/soft wood. PS Look for Russian Baltic Birch plywood. You referred to "Baltic pine". If there is such a thing it is not what you want.

I'd blow out the switch real good. If you can remove it even better to clean it out. If that doesn't fix it do a check the switch with an ohm meter. If it is bad, return it, or whatever the warranty says to do. It should have a two year warranty. May I ask, other than the current problem, how to you like this filter? Does it work better than a box fan with a filter on it?

Thanks for the info. The ones you made are sand paper glued to a saw blade. right? Could take a couple pliers and teist the ends of the blade so the paper faces forward??
