  1. I wonder if Home Depot carries it again. I did a search at the Home Depot site, said it was available for free pick up at the local store, same day. Leads me to believe it is in the store. I will have to check next time I go there. Like you I bought several cans when I thought they were no longer going to carry it.
  2. Love it! very well done picture.
  3. Looks great, well except for the leg. Must be someway to fix it. All that beautiful wood... worth trying.
  4. Don't really care for that big of eyes, either.
  5. BLO/MS is what I have been using. But, looking at John' picture, I may pick some up. I use Watco stains a lot. Hope I can find a local store that carries it.
  6. I agree, I like both. Great work.
  7. In Washington state. This is a type one. If I had the money and it was good I'd own it even though I don't need it. http://moseslake.craigslist.org/tls/5815090802.html
  8. Great piece. Beautiful piece of Cherry also. Yesterday my wife and I had our 49th anniversary. We both forgot until later in the day. Been a busy time this month and isn't over yet. Monday we head to Memphis for 10 days. Oh, ya, I did take her to Panda Express for dinner, how romantic is that?!
  9. Really some very nice cutting and finishing. I use Deft a lot. Great finish and dries quickly. And there is a marble in the can....
  10. I do not know how you do it!!! Great work.
  11. My my, they get better and better. You the coin MASTER!
  12. Nicely done, Ralph. I don't know how you could improve on it.
  13. Awesome piece. You do such fine work.
  14. Pete, hats off to you. Great job by you and Russell. What do you intend to do with them? I want to cut them, then I picture stringing them on ,,,, string, and maybe doing a holly leaf or some thing Christmas-ie between each one. Make a garland like thingy that can be hung in an entry way or something... I have got to get busy as soon as I get back from a trip to Memphis.
  15. The little guy is going to really enjoy that.
  16. Holy cow that is a beautiful piece.
  17. I use the Penguin Silver all the time now, but for cutting detailed pictures. I can't speak to it for thick wood. Be worth a try though.
  18. Now that is a challenging piece of cutting. Very well done.
  19. I always look at ways to reuse things. This is one I just came up with a few weeks ago. On my Hegner scroll saw I have a tool to use on the lower blade clamp to clamp the blade. When I first got the saw, I just tied a shoelace to the tool so when it fell off my stand I could retrieve it without bending down to pick it you. This is my new solution. Can you guess where I got this holder to hang the tool in?? It is the black piece on the side of the saw stand. It is a piece of plastic that came on the ink cartridge for my HP printer. It is like it was made for what I used it for. I drilled a hole in the top to put the tool in and screwed it to the side of the stand.
  20. I see that "Fish" has cut this pattern and he attributes Elaine and Bill Snell, Black Cat Art Works as the designers. I did not get it there as best I remember. Maybe I should not have the pattern, I know I got it a couple years ago when I first started scrolling. Seriously know not where.
  21. very well done. Does look like it would be a challenge.
  22. I have seen it, can't remember where. Wasn't too long ago either. Could you make a copy of that on a copy machine and use the copy as a pattern?
  23. Great cuttings. My favorite it the bell also. The trees are beautiful also.
  24. Thanks, guys, for the comments. Dave, they are 10" in diameter.
  25. I do not use biscuit joints and I use my jointer as little as possible. It is the only tool in my shop that I am afraid of. Not sure why, but it scares me. With a good saw blade I can cut an edge on the table saw that is as good as the jointer's. But my advice is if you get one, get a floor model. Desk top one are just too small to be useful in my opinion...
