  1. Fun stuff. Great job.
  2. I started that pattern some time ago, but never finished. Your picture reminded me I have it somewhere. I like the black one best because it shows up more. Great cutting all the way around.
  3. You are correct in my opinion. That is why I said it was my mistake and did not put it in the brag section. I think it is okay for home, I don't sell anything, but I will more than likely do it again. Others say they like it so, who knows. I appreciate your comments and all the other comments.
  4. Ha, Scott, I have never before been accused of having "perfect symmetry" in my head before... I have been accused of being "totally confused" in the head many times.....
  5. I love this pattern by Brichbark. Wanted to do it in cherry wood. I had to do a glue up to get a piece big enough. These pieces I glued were almost the same color and grain. The top piece was a little lighter but only a little. Then when I soaked it in BLO/MS the little darker piece went a lot darker, the top did not seem to change color at all. Would have been kinda cool if I had pieces like this that I could glue up with the grain running vertical, and have the light piece in the middle so that the star, manger and all the way down were light and the dark was on both sides. Oh, well, I will try it again with different wood.
  6. Did you save the marbles??!
  7. Very good idea, only problem, no one I know ever puts their phone down. They hang on to it like it is what keeps their heart pumping!
  8. Nice piece.
  9. Very nice. But what do you believe in New Zealand? Will those sell there?
  10. I think it is wonderful and beautifully cut. If you look at Sue Mey's pattern it, to me appears busy until I look at it a few seconds. Same with yours, there is a lot in that circle. But it is really nice. Great job.
  11. Great job.
  12. That is great to read. Congrats on your success. You have to believe in yourself to be successful at something. I admire you.
  13. I'd lay it face down and put weight on it. Leave it that way a week and see what happens. While waiting make a new one, just in case this doesn't work.
  14. Very neat.
  15. I just did a couple yesterday. Mixed about 1 1/2 cups of BLO/MS mixed 50/50. Poured it in an old cookie sheet my wife was throwing out. Laid a piece in it, let it soak on one side a few seconds, and turned it over for a few seconds. Picked it up gave it so shakes/taps to get as much of the excess off and out of the holes a possible, then hung it on a rod. Let it hang over a piece of plastic for several hours, wiped the excess off that had gathered at the bottom, but not dripped of yet and then let it hand over night.
  16. Well, Kevin, is it a secret or are you going to share your knowledge....
  17. Great mod!! I love them.
  18. Holy cow, that old? Wonder how I remember, I couldn't have been alive way back then! Nice work. Brings back memories.
  19. Looks like you have your answers above. I'm anxious to see you cutting when you complete it.

  21. Very well done.
  22. Really looks nice, Dick. I love the coloring in it. Really puts it over the top. Great job.
  23. Very beautiful work.
  24. Very beautiful plaque. Your scrolling and finishing are A+.
  25. Dan, I sent him a copy when I saw it was no longer in the library. I hope that is alright.
