    I would not be surprised at all if it is a metric. There is only one scrollsaw I know of that is made in the US. My Ex has metric bolts, I'm pretty sure.

    Would stain cover that? I know paint would but not sure about stain.

    I have bought quite a bit off the internet. From suppliers on Ebay, cherry, walnut, maple, and basswood. Other internet sites for different species of plywood. I by Baltic Birch from local lumberyards. We have a Winsor Plywood which has all kinds f hardwoods also. The only thing I buy for scroll from the big box stores is a pretty piece of popular is I see one.

    I made several "Tongue Drum" using Purple heart as the top piece because is created a beautiful sound. Here is a picture of the only one I have left. Made several years ago. I finished it with Tongue Oil and the Purple heart turned a pretty "Cranberry red". Over the years it has faded some, but still a pretty color.

    Great looking bowl. I've used Purpleheart on several projects. When I finished it I used tongue oil and it came out a pretty "cranberry" redish color. Don't know why.

    Great firetruck! I am in the beginning of a front loader. My grandson's birthday is the end of May. Hope I get it done in time....
