That is my experience also. Cupping is a pain and none of the methods I have read or watched to un-cup wood have been successful for me. I have the best result of preventing cupping by stacking the wood with spacer strips between each piece. weight on top and let it sit for about 3 week before trying to use it. Still not 100% but less cupping. My thought is they cut the wood too green to begin with. Just my thoughts I do not know. I also have had better luck with Cherokee woods https://www.cherokeewood.com and I feel they let their wood dry longer. Again just my thoughts and experience. I have purchase wood from Ocooch many times. And will porbably continue to do so, but nothing less than 1/2" thick. Both places give great service.

Just thinking of Christmas's past on here and some outstanding projects that were done for Christmas. This one stands out in my mind.. 2019, I believe. But I don't remember who did it and provided the patterns to anyone interested. I have the patterns, but I never did it. Large item and no where to store it. But something that could be donated to some organization. Anyone else remember it, it created a lot of interest when it was built? Sorry I can not remember the name of the originator. I I know it had lights. Pretty amazing piece. Make a great yard display. Over 3 feet tall.

Very well done. I love to make models, but no place to store them once completed. They can be challenging.

I don't think her site is active anymore. She past away a few years ago. There are still several of her books out there. I have purchase a couple off Ebay. Will take time to go through them all, but I know I will find plenty to make. My charity of choice is Tunnels2Towers. Support home for disabled veteran and paying for homes for the families of deceased veterans. -

I agree, I have the 3/4" and the 1/2" but I think the price they want for a plastic tool is outrageous. -
Just like buying a new car versa a used car... I am fine with either, but the boss, my wife say there is a reason someone got rid of a used car. True, but not always a bad reason. I will look at either.

Speaking of watching sports. I went to my Daughters for an early Thanksgiving this week end. My Son and Son-in-Law are huge sports fans. Play fantasy football an hockey. I watched more sports in one day than I have watch in the past ten years and do not care if I do not see anymore for the rest of my life. Looking at wood turning on the scroll saw is the sport I love. But not complaining it was a wonderful weekend with family.

Love the old cars. They all looked different, unlike to day, they all look about the same. I can not tell which is which unless I see the emblem. What amuses me, I look at old cars that I use to think were ugly and now I think they are beautiful... Like "The forward look" with all the fins and stuff. Now look stylish to me.

Glad for you, moneywise, but it would take the joy of scrolling to be under that pressure. I do it only for the joy, thank goodness.
