  1. Nice picture. Thanks for doing the tutorial.
  2. Very nice. I you spill "FYNN/FINN" two different ways. I hope it is a typo. Great idea for the kayak piece.
  3. Okay, when I am wrong, I own up to it this is not a schwibbogen. Schwibbogens have an arch. Doesn't look like this one does. does not matter it is still going to be very neat! But I have fun re-learning how to spill the word it is fun to say. This picture is a schwibbogen.
  4. Beautiful piece. Well done.
  5. The tree was beautiful and out of canary wood, even more so. The schwibbogen is going to be very attractive. I love them, have several that I have made. They alway attract a lot of attention.
  6. Vey well done!
  7. Beautiful! Well done.
  8. Good to see you back at it although I did enjoy the halloween stuff. Great job. There are those actor that I see are in a film and I watch it just because he/she are in it. He is one of those for me. Morgan Freeman is another.
  9. Great job. I bet the hunter is wearing a red felt fedora hunter's hat. I still have and somethng wear mine I purchased in 1966.
  10. This is my lower clamp and dropped blade finder.. I use it a lot.. And it cost me nothing.
  11. Yep if I was younger and I didn't love the table saw I have so much I would have a SawStop. Not only are they a safer saw, but the ones I have looked at are very well build, great saws also.
  12. Nice one. of the ones you mentioned I would agree with Cherry.
  13. Man. that is tragic. Hopefully he listens to you and the doctors. Mends soon! Hard to be in a position to not be able to do anything when there are lots to things to do. I'm wishing him a speedy recovery.
  14. Looks great, Bernd. I am very fond of Helicopters As I think every VN vet is. The Huey was not a luxury copter, but it was a workhorse and the pilots were real heroes. I guess Hueys were made by Bell. Anyway you did a beautiful picture and thanks for the added info of that helicopter.
  15. Nope,, I have two neighbors/friends/ that have young grand children close to them. I plan on giving each to them and the grandchildren can handle the task of changing the date. But changing the days is not so hard andI could not do it,, if someone would be around to remind me, what day it is. Miss you, Dick!
  16. My version of f Alex Fox's new pattern. 25 days till Christmas. Great pattern, easy to cut. For me harder to paint and put together.. Thank you @alexfox Mr Fox. I Decided to paint my visa what his pattern shows of dark/light layers. I am not a good painter but happy with the results. Put me in the Christmas Sprit just to make it.
  17. Some time back, soon after Pegas first hit the market, there was a problem with some Pegas blades. They broke easily. Some people returned theirs and got replacements, I did not, because I had bought some of the identified "bad" ones but I had mixed they in with all the others I had that were not part of that batch. I can tell the difference by the way they were cut at the top of the blade. Anyway, it has turned out okay for me. I am just finishing a project that I use that type/size on. I still appreciate that the blade had some flaw.. I scroll with a "Bad" one and it breaks at the same spot every time I use one of them, but it breaks at just about the time I am thinking I need to change blades because I am loosing some control of the cutting. With the ones that are not bad, I would probably be changing after close to the same amount of use. The only down side, is if you have a Hegner, you can appreciate the trauma of a blade breaking event. I have had the Hegner for quite some time, and yet I still jump and the heart pounds after a blade snaps. It is still quit stimulating! Not sure why I posted this, just thought of it because thread is about blades and well I just felt like posting it.
  18. Hummm. I need to re-critique my scrolling.. If I had scrolled those, I would proudly brag about them. OR, maybe you need to be proud of what you do. They are well cut and very cute.
  19. I would have put the bird houses also, but I have never sold one, my wife and daughter swipe them as quickly as they are made... Last time my daughter even stole the little tree I hung them on..
  20. You really did a great job on it all. I did the sleigh many years ago as one of my first Christmas patterns.. I have the patter for the reindeer, but have never got to them mainly because so much to store.
  21. Very nice scrolling!
  22. That is pretty cool. You sure that is not a real crab?
  23. @dgmangives great advice here. One of my main problems when I buy wood is having it cup.. the thinner the more it occurs. I have been doing as Dan describes and it helps a lot. I have tried many of the methods found on the internet t un-cup wood but have had little success. I rarely purchase less than 1/2" thick any more.. I would rather purchase thicker and plane it down than purchase thinner and have it be unusable. It also depends on where you purchase the wood, some don't thin it until it is dryer than others.. Just my experience.
  24. That is really pretty. Great job, You should be bragging! Hang on to that cedar, you will find more uses for it!
