  1. Very well done.
  2. The Nutcracker is pretty easy, even tells you in what order to make the cuts for each piece. The hair was the toughest for me. Cutting it I felt there is no way it was going to come out right, but when through cutting, buried in piece of wood is some unruly hair.. It is a fun project.
  3. That is very nice,.
  4. Too bad about the wood, but still a nice looking clock... Last time I purchase a sheet of BB was 2 years ago. It had no voids but more knots than usual. Still useable, but not as good as I had always purchased before and at $60+ a 5' x 5' sheet, I doubt I will be purchasing more. I will buy in small quantities. Oh and that is a nice looking Jarguar in the background!
  5. looks like your attachments did not work..
  6. Really looks nice. I also have zero music talent. I think that is why I love to make things musical. i made several tongue drums, strum stick, around 10 cigar box guitars, a Native American flute, and my street organ. The street organ is the only one I can play (turn a crank). But really enjoy making such things. Others can make them sound nice. I may have to make this pattern also. doesn't make a sound, but really looks nice. Great job.
  7. I like that!
  8. Yep, I have done that before.
  9. yep, as I stated, I tried straight water, This is the $10 cheapie from Harbor Freight. I does get good reviews. The lady that checked me out, well she did not "check me out" I'm an old man, she took my money and gave a me a receipt, She said she had a couple of them and she used them of decorating cakes. She loved hers. I kind think I may need to rethink my compressor. It may only hold a blast of are then pressure drops quickly.. Okay for my little nail gun, but maybe not enough constant air for an air brush. I think I have another air brush somewhere I purchased a long time ago, I will try and is no joy there I will give my bigger compressor.
  10. Chris, first welcome to the forum, and second, sorry I can not help. I haver never worked with a Delta. I here they are very similar to the Dewalt saw. There is a set of Pagas blade clamps that work on the Dewalt, I believe, If and if it is determeined you need new clamps, that may be the way to go. Hang on here , you will get more information soon. There are other scrollers here that have that saw. They can provide better info than I can. Just checked and yep there is a set of pegas clamps for the Delta and Dewalt. We have a member that sells them. Great guy to deal with. @Denny Knappen. Don't rush, wait for others to chime in.
  11. Well I do not know everything I need to know about my air brush. Thought I'd give it a try today. using hobby paint. I thinned it pretty good, maybe too good or maybe not good enough, I do not know. Nothing sprayed out. So I thought, still too thick, I'll try straight water, nothing came out. Maybe it is my little Seyco compressor. It works on my nailer, but heck I just don't know. I gave up, Will get out the paint brushes. Darn. I really wanted to use it but I played it over an hour and nothing. So, I put it aside a will try again another day.
  12. Great to have you join us!
  13. I am wondering if that is what they call "Select Pine" around here.
  14. Those are mighty fine. I also enjoy compound cutting and have done some. It always amazes me, when you pell away the waste, there is something inside that piece of wood that was not there before. One of my favorites is from JEplans.com. If you click on "all plans' and scroll down you will find a Christmas Nutcracker. I have made four of them, very fun to build and paint. I have made them the size of the pattern and enlarged the pattern by about 20%. Some how every time I make one, it disappears.
  15. Ray, did the top of that boot stretch enough to fit over what it has to fit over on the saw? My saw is not around 12 years old, Maybe I should buy what you did and have on hand. I will forget about it if the time comes I need one,, heck I will forget about it in 10 minutes! Of course, I would also forget where I stored the spare if I happen to remember I had one.
  16. ADVANCED MACHENERY DOES HAVE THEM, BUT LIKE ALL HEGNER PARTS YOU PAY FOR THEN: https://advanced-machinery.myshopify.com/products/m22-v-part-number-017-bellows You could buy three of what Ray suggests, if they work and have two spares on hand.
  17. WELL DONE!
  18. @Foxfold you can ask or you can read his post: "Cut from 30mm Radiata Pine".. . I read it, but didn't help me, I have never heard of it before. The painting is also a good question. I know he is probably going to say just any old rattle can spray paint, but his painting always stands out, and is so perfect... John, always love your puzzles, always well done and bright and cheery!
  19. Welcome to the forum. glad to have you join us. I look forward to seeing your work. I really enjoy doing compound cuts,
  20. She is a black widow.
  21. you compare it to today's movies, that little bit of language, would be fine on a Sunday Matinee1
  22. Hummm, don't pay much attention to Halloween since the kids grew up and left home, Where we live we do not get trick or treat-ers. So it is just another night. The only thing I have ever done halloween-ish is this pen. I can show it because the bats were cut with a scroll saw. The scariest part is my shop friend Zelda, checking it out.
  23. Yep. I noticed that. keep us attuned to you progress, it will be a challenge for sure.
  24. Found the show on Youtube. Gotta watch again.. I think those that have HBOMAX can watch it there.
  25. Great cutting. Great show.
