  1. Welcome to the Village. Glad to have you join us.
  2. Seems I remember a reading some where where there can be a place where the some part can hit something and it was an easy fix. What I just wrote does not help you buy may trigger someones memory. Maybe @kmmcrafts remembers.
  3. I would see what Home Depot has to say.. They may exchange it for you.
  4. I do not understand why more things are getting posted so they have to be downloaded to see. What has changed? Is it my computer.. I have a mini mac. Sometimes mac so things in a strange way. very nice picture, by the way.
  5. I would send it back if under warranty... if you work on it they could void the warranty.
  6. You mean like wearing your levis down low, cigs pack rolled up in your white T-shirt sleeve and a ducktail hair do,,,, dude? sorry.
  7. You still have to show proof at my store even though I registered as a veteran... You would think their system would know. I have never had them refuse me even though I do not carry proof. Lowes if you register it knows when you give your name or something.
  8. I hope you mean scroll saw... We have a turning section here.. but mainly we deal in scroll sawing.. Welcome to the Village, glad to have you and we will look at what ever you make and be glad for it. I know you meant scroll saw, you are just excited about those beautiful twin grand babies you now have.. I would be also.
  9. He has helped me many times. Almost to smart for a guy of my low level...
  10. have my excalibur and Seyco mounted on a cabinet I built. I purt a bag of concrete in the bottom.. It helped some. The cabinet was on castors so it was part of the problem.
  11. We we don't except in some medical places, but I have started wearing one when I am scrolling... Just to see if it helps with the runny nose. I don't have the good dust collection anymore, just a box fan with filter beside my saw. I picks up a lot. But the masks are free at our pharmacy, They are the N95 masks, do I decided to give it a try. And how can you trick or treat without a mask! I put it on when I head to towards the candy dish also, then Patti doesn't know who I am.
  12. Welcome to the village. Glad to have you here.
  13. the clamp falling out or flying out when a blade breaks can happen on the Hegner also. Can be a pain.
  14. Very professional looking. I guess it is because it is made by a professional.
  15. Very nice, love the little cottontails, unfortunately they and Jackrabbits are very rare around here now. I miss them.
  16. Glad you are feeling better. Very nice project you have created.
  17. Those are really very nice!
  18. Okay,, been 3D cutting for several days now.. I've proven two things to myself. I started out no clamps. not tape.. I'm tough, no need.. After cutting three pieces,, hands cramping, fingers really sore from trying to stop the thing when it started bucking and bouncing... I thought, were is that clamp I built for this? It was right were I thought I had put it, that had to be an omen of some kind.. then try tape, just in case it really helps... I have always been dubious about the tape claims... So the new me using clamp and tape... I have cut two+ in the time it took me to do one before. The tape does help. Must lub something because I could cut faster. The camp so much more control... So take the time to save time and pain. Use whatever clamp works best for you, and do use packing tape.
  19. What would you bevel cut that was over a few degrees? Not arguing, just curious. Been scrolling a long time, tried almost all disciplines of scroll sawing and I have never tilted my table top or scroll say head more that a few degrees... Inlay is only a few degrees. Basket or bowl making maybe a few more degrees. I do like the Pegas method of tilting the table a little better than the seyco, but once I needed to tilt the seyco table and it was not a problem. Just not quit as nice as a pegas or Excalibor. The one thing that would push me toward the Pegas over the Seyco is price. But then if you wanted a bigger table on a Pegas, it price then is very close to the same. That big table is really nice. It would be a hard decision for me. Pegas would probably win because I have never had one. I would hate to buy the same saw twice. But not for me to worry, my Hegner is my last saw, unless my rich kids wanted to surprise me. So far they have not shown any desire to surprise me... still getting underwear, socks and a bad time for Christmas!!
  20. Very nice picture, well presented!
  21. That is a great job! I'm a little confused are all those lights?
  22. That's it stay right there, do not move, I will be back!
  23. Oh, Oh,,, called em out. no but don't they make the type you screw on anymore...?
  24. I have never done it so I have to ask, what made it so hard? Those are very unique and clever... I could see women liking them for the uniqueness and seasonal celebration. You know,,, maybe I could pierce my ear and wear one... At my age you can get buy with almost anything..That is the only thing I have found good about getting old! Anymore when I tell my kid about something I have done or thinking of doing... they just roll their eyes and bring up the thing about a home to put me in.
  25. the manual suggests tension spring broke. but any one of these suggestions is a possibility. That tension system is very similar to the Hegners.
