    You do a great job on all your portraits and I think portrait of people are the hardest to get to look real good.

    Nice box. Your are off to a good start. If you really get into boxes and using box joints I highly recommend investing the time and a little money to make a good boxjoint jig. I did this one, not hard to make works very well, fully adjustable to different size joints and very accurate https://www.woodsmithplans.com/plan/box-joint-jig/

    Just a plug for Steve.. I try to donate to him about what I would have to spend on a subscription to a scroll magazine, each year. I really think I get more from him than I do from the magazines. It's not Not much money, I agree, but I get more from him than any Scroll Saw magazine I have ever subscribed to...

    Don't do many of Steve's patterns but I get is daily mail and have a ton respect and gratitude for all he does for the scrolling community. I did make this for my wife for Valentines one year. She must have liked it she keeps it on the coffee table year round.

    Wish I had the ambition to do that to my shop. I like the pictures, well done. Why do you get two John Deeres. I have one I keep working on trying to get one more season out of it..

    I decide to try making a wooden gear clock once and want to have good accurate brad point bits. So I listed the sizes I needed for the project and bought those sizes from Lee Valley. They were and are good ones.. I add to the group as I need a size I do not yet have. Does not sting as bad to buy a few at a time.

    Glad you were not ill. In America we have a saying of feeling "under the weather" which means you haven't been feeling well... Some of us probably thought South Koreans said under the sea, instead. I good thing is you are not nor have been ill.

    Welcome to the forum. glad to have you join us. If you click on "Resources" in the blue bar at the top portion of the page, the drop has "How to & Articles". Great place to start. The other thing is ask and search the forum. There are very helpful people here.

    One I am thinking of. Habitat for Humanity has lots of hollow doors for sale and cheap prices. The wood pannels on them are not really good for scrolling but for using a backers they may work fine. I hate to read of some one using good BB plywood for backers... makes me cry

    Great job! how do you hinge the doors? I am thinking that the collapsible pins used to attach a wristwatch band with would work pretty well.

    Nice cuttings,, but can you believe I was never a real Beetles fan... I liked some of their songs but not them signing them.. Same with "The Beach Boys" and "The Bee Gees". Did nor work for my ears.

    Wonderful gifts. I wife finally passed on a little wooden stove she got when she was a little girl. Things like that are treasured. Hats off to you for being brave enough to even try one of Derek Hugger's machines. I love to visit his sight. Always wanted to do the Colibri one, but I know it is beyond my skill level. They are beautiful to watch.
