  1. No, not his job. He can be a BS'er and so can I, so it is my tribute to him for being king of the BS'er. It is called the King Clock. We have a lot of fun together.
  2. I have a 21+ year old Grandson, that calls me 4 or 5 times a week just to check on me and Grandma. It is really nice, and I really appreciate it. So I wanted to make him a little something to put on his desk where he works. I made this little clock. Hope he likes it. The clock in made with Canary wood and the backer, just to enrich the clock and show off the canary wood a little more, is bloodwood. This is a Steve Good pattern. Someone else on here made one and I liked it, that is what led me to it.
  3. Nicley done.
  4. You did a great job of your first one.
  5. You added a wagon... when I did it I added a baby elephant!
  6. You must be very proud and have every right to be... Very nice!
  7. I LIKE THAT! never heard of that pattern maker before. Nice work.
  8. Going to be beautiful, Dick... Love how you paint the backer. Well don't know if I love how you do it because I do not know how you do it. But I love the results. I purchased a pretty good air brush a while back but have not had the nerve to try it yet. Is that what you are using and what kind of paint? I think we are glad you are back also you alway seem to liven up the place some.
  9. Beautiful! I have a few scraps now in my scrappile. I will be purchasing more sometime.
  10. You got me excited because I like the wooden gears site. So I hurry to check it out and I see the dreaded words: " The program will NOT run on a Mac compute Well Darn it!
  11. I have never see it like the top picture. I have used quite a bit of it over the years.
  12. Good one... I like that guy. Like to have him as a neighbor.
  13. This is the first time I have used it. Always thought it would make a great set for the lighter chess pieces, but would be hard to find 2" thick pieces although is you had a 1" board and glued matching grain as much as possible, I don't think the glue line would show to much. I got a couple pieces from Ocooch bot are really pretty.
  14. Played around yesterday cut this out of a piece of scrap 1/4" BB. Well I say scrap but with the cost of BB any more, none of it is scrap! I have a couple more to cut. I am a sucker for the little gnomes! This is a Steve Good one. And check out this beautiful piece of canary wood, being prepared for another project. May be my favorite wood.
  15. Nice work!
  16. You know, with a little more cable some pulleys you could make a foot peddle you push down to raise the arm, and release to lower the the arm.
  17. I agree, beautifully done. Very professional.
  18. Not only a great cutting, but you always display your pictures so nicely. Maybe if I took the time to do that, someone would want some of my pictures!
  19. Be advised, Per Ray, at Seyco, you must be aware, you adjust that bolt too tight, You can wear a groove into the metal that the bearing on the end of that bolt rides on. That groove gets too deep in that metal, and that bolt/bearning will not work any more, the metal is part of the saw metal that covers the saw. Not a replaceable part on it's own. He warned me not to adjust it any tighter than necessary to raise the arm and it stay in place. I would fear that you have added weight on that upper arm of your saw with the lights, so it could mean you have to tighten that screw beyond what is required... Just putting it out there, He told me that when I had an Excalibur which was several years ago. Maybe they have changed how that all works, but I would check it our first.
  20. Great job... maybe this year"s Valentine card to momma...
  21. Very nice! Great job.
  22. Interesting on the Festool shutting off instantly. My Fien would continue to run a second or so after the tool was turned off, the advertised reason was to remove any dust collect and still in the hose once you shut the tool off. I am seriously thinking about the new Dewalt quiet vac. It is smaller than my big Ridgid which is noisy. Be easier to make a cart that will hold the vac and dust deputy. But I do not think the normal shop vacs are made to be going on and off constantly like they would attached to a scroll saw. I could be wrong.
  23. A years worth of work for me! Great stuff.
  24. Been trying to talk my son into one. No he can't afford it. Says he will stick with the RC planes.
  25. Glad to have you return!
