  1. Where are you located? I watch Craigslist every day and there are many great deals near me. But I live in a very populous area of So. Cal. If I see something I could let you know if you are within driving distance.
  2. My family has no idea what I do.
  3. I like it. And I love the decoration!
  4. As I said.....
  5. I bought a 60 tube/rack system from Amazon for about $18. What I found was that I couldn't see any of the tubes except the front row. I also have too many brands/types of blades. I'm going to make a storage rack that will have 2 rows of holes with the back row being elevated enough to see it. Most of the blades that I have will never get used as I have pretty much decided that Pegas MGT will fill my needs. I will probably donate the other blades to a club or school. I am a fish when it comes to buying blades. If someone raves about a blade, I order some. But now I have a bunch that I will never use. I also inherited a bunch of PS Woods that were highly recommended by some folks and I was excited about. But I don't find that they work all that great. Especially at the price they get for them.
  6. I only put a tube with the blades I'm using at the time. One hole gets used. All others remain empty.
  7. Sometimes life gets in the way of fun.
  8. Yeah! We were some of them. We lived in Woodland Park at 8500 feet. Our house was in the trees. We lived in fear of the idiot across the road from us. He liked to burn his trash in an open pit on windy days. A couple of years after we moved from there, a woman ranger started a small fire to burn a "dear jane" letter and burned up 133,000 acres. Didn't get our house though. Very close.
  9. I can't believe that folks still build homes in those areas. Where we live all we have to worry about is a tsunami. And earthquakes? I've lived through every one since 1952 with not even cracked plaster.
  10. Sign and date it too. I have the very first thing I scrolled, other than the practice patterns, hanging in my shop. It's great to be able to look back at your first attempt.
  11. That's great news Charley. They are doing amazing things now. I only hope that nobody "hacks" your heart. Lol.
  12. Maybe for "slant" drilling?
  13. @Tammi, I'm not sure whether you have been welcomed here yet. I'm not familiar with your name but just in case, I wanted to say "Welcome to the Village", the friendliest place on the internet. You did a great job on your first project. You can only get better on each project you make. Thanks for the formula for your finish also.
  14. Cats are cool. We have 2 now but we have been as high as 11 when 2 of ours had kittens.
  15. Les, what is the model number on your Filter Queen. I'm looking around at them but there seems to be many and I'm not sure of the amperage of the different models. I have found a couple in the $25 range and I might pop for one of them if I knew which one to buy.
  16. Les, what model Filter Queen is it that you are using. I'm curious. There a many on eBay for sale. One new one still in box for only $1200. But there is another one for $25. Lots to choose from. It might be nice to know which one you are using.
  17. Check these out. Lots to choose from. https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=monster+truck+scroll+saw+patterns&qpvt=monster+truck+scroll+saw+patterns&FORM=IGRE
  18. By the way, I say Bing because I stopped using Google. They are just tooooo intrusive.
  19. Do a Bing search and then click on images. There should be a ton to choose from and then just put it into the picture converter that was mentioned here on Pattern making forum.
  20. Welcome back Herrwood, I hope you get back into the swing of things. I know exactly what you are going through as I sold everything to go full-time RVing. But, after we landed again, I had to buy all new stuff. Harbor Freight and Craigslist have become my two best friends. Well, with the exception of the folks here on The Village.
  21. There is the problem with no bathroom too Paul.
  22. I have the Fein. I bought it used. It has the HEPA filter in it. I also bought a Wen air cleaner. I run a 20" box fan with furnace filters. I wear a dusk mask. I still have some residual dust that accumulates in my shop. I can't figure out anything else to do so I'll just have to put up with it. Bottom line though, I catch a ton of the dust right at the saw and that is all I ever wanted.
  23. We know he is. Thanks!
  24. I guess living in So Cal ain't so bad afterall. So sorry for your loss. If any. Now you have some maple to cut.
  25. I did download and open both files. Thanks.
