  1. Kevin, have you thought of calling whoever you're going to buy from? Or the original seller? I think it was Bear Woods. Or, how about Pegas themselves? They should have an email address or some sort of website. Just sayin.............. Edit:
  2. Les, have you been talking to my wife again? I'll have to have a chat with her.
  3. Being a newbie, I bought a can of 3m77 and not knowing any better, I thought it was supposed to spatter. And it does. Now I know that it shouldn't. I'll check around for the 45 when I run out. But, I took Kevin's advice and bought a pack of 100 labels from Amazon and they seem to work very well. So far. I hate spraying that 77. It gets everywhere even when I try to keep it inside of a box. I can feel it on the hair on my arms. Nasty!
  4. I hate to say it but I"m the same way. I can't pass up an old piece of equipment. I bought a Crafstman bench top saw years ago at an auction. No motor but the rest of it was in mint condition. I gave $5 for it. I brought it home and kept it under my workbench until we sold out everything. Just another door stop.
  5. They only gave me one choice. Take it or leave it.
  6. I found that QTENA was going to be $81.95 plus $8.95 shipping. It sounds like the only savings would amount to the shipping. But, I may still go for it.
  7. This is an update to a previous set of 4 videos that Bob did. I downloaded them and saved them as a movie so I can refer back to it whenever I wanted. Probably a waste of disk space but you never know when something on youtube will go away.
  8. I get notifications whenever someone posts to it. I check them when I can.
  9. There are a ton of them sitting around not working and it could be something as small as a $.50 fuse. Most folks won't attempt to fix them.
  10. Thanks to all for your help. I think what you have all suggested will solve the problem. I'm just not familiar with the saw yet and since the mechanism is very similar to the Dewalt, and I have got it figured out, I was a bit confused as to why I wasn't getting the blade tension that I thought I should. I'm also trying to become a top feeder but that may change. I got pretty good at bottom feeding on the Dewalt and it may be that I will revert to my old ways. Thanks again everybody.
  11. I got hold of the moderator last night. He told me that it became a "secret" group a while back when they had been under some sort of a spam attack. Once becoming a "secret" group, FB won't change it back so it must remain as it is. But, it's not some covert organization. It just sounds that way. Anyway, there is a way to join it if you want to.
  12. This is an updated video by Bob Brokaw on how to maintain/repair your Dewalt 788 or it's Delta cousin.
  13. I was told by the moderator to tell you folks to go to this site first and then wait to be invited. Here is the link to the OPEN group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2046247955588723/?fref=gc&dti=1929736970602419&hc_location=ufi
  14. Ok, here's what it's all about. It's a secret group. Whatever that means. If you are my "friend"on FB I can invite you to join the group. So, if any of you are interested, let me know what you go by on FB and I'll send friend requests. Once you accept them, I can invite you. If you are interested that is. I go by my name Ray Scrafield and I use the picture of Sgt. Belker from the old Hill Street Blues show as my picture.
  15. That's strange. I clicked on the link and it took me right to it. It does say something about being a "secret" group. I have no idea what that means.

  17. I get invites all the time to join this group or that group. I just click on the ad and it takes me there. Then I request to join.
  18. Les, go to the group and join it. There are a bunch of great groups on FB that are just for scroll sawing. And YES, SSV is there too.
  19. I have read the manual that came with my EX 21 and it lightly mentions blade tension. It says the arm is supposed to be level with the table. I'd love to hear how you folks with the EX's tension your blades. So far, I position the blade in the top holder, then I lock it into the bottom clamp and then flip the lever back to apply the tension. But, it just doesn't seem like the blade is tight enough. I don't get the high pitched twang and there seems to be a lot of side to side movement. Is it ok to apply more tension with the arm adjuster even if it is going to put the arm out of perfect level? What do you folks do?'
  20. Dan, there's a lot more to FB than the "social networking" aspect.
  21. The name of the group is "scroll saw and woodworking". Lot's of interesting stuff.
  22. Sorry folks. I had no idea that the info was private. Sorry.
  23. It's a great saw at a great price right up to the point where it quits. Then, it's a door stop.
  24. I have been posting on this thread with the limited knowledge that I have but I found it interesting and thought maybe some of you would too. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1929736970602419/permalink/2105910229651758/?comment_id=2106449199597861&notif_id=1531562060846282&notif_t=group_comment_reply
