I don't have the saw. Only the manual. I thought maybe somebody out there might have purchased one of these saws used and didn't get the manual.

No Kevin, I meant these.

Travis, I purchased a used saw over the weekend and in the box of stuff that came with it was an owner's manual for a saw by the name of Mao Shan Industrial MS-24. I have no need for this manual so if there is anybody out there who needs it, I will gladly mail it to them. A picture is attached. It is also marketed as a Ledacraft. And probably many others.

I prefer option 2 also. I like lists.

Can any of this stuff be purchased through Amazon? Just sayin............... Well, I just answered my own question. It looks like they have the whole line available.

Good luck in your moving/selling/buying process. I don't envy you. We've been through it too many times. Best case was selling every thing we owned and moving into our 5th wheel trailer. Went out on the road for 3 years. Came off the road but no pressure to find a home. Now live in a retirement mobile home park one mile off the coast. Love it.

Thanks Randy. I just went there and was able to download an updated owner's manual for the EX 21 that I just acquired. It seems that there is more info in the newer manual.

When we were traveling a few years back, we were up near Bimidji, Mn. and I found a wood seller who had 160 acres of basswood trees. He was cutting them and selling the milled wood to all the carvers. I paid him $10 for a box of cutoffs that sat next to his saw. I also got some slabs with the bark still on them for free. I had a hard time carrying that box back to my truck. I've still got more basswood carving blocks than I'll ever use. Nice stuff to carve.

There would be a definite "weight' difference between the two also. I carve quite a bit and I know I'd sure recognize the difference.

It sounds similar to a problem I was having until folks here told me what was wrong. Too much adhesive and too small a blade for the job. I admit that I had sprayed the 3M77 pretty heavy and I also had used shelf liner. Once I started cutting some of the pieces and parts were coming off so I added packaging tape in places. Bottom line is, try a bit bigger blade so you have more kerf and check how much adhesive you are using. Once I changed my situation, things cleared up immensely.

I still don't get it. I must be slow today.

My wife and I decided to try saving our plastic water bottles. We saved up a couple of bags of them and took them to the local super market parking lot where the recycler had their setup. First off, they told us that the caps had to be removed because they weren'' buy them. Second, after they weighed them they gave us a voucher for $1.67 good only at the market. We decided that life is too short to worry about saving bottles. Into the trash they go. The trash company can cull them out and recycle them.

Roberta, the problem I'm having is getting a good scan. I am still learning what makes my Epson scanner tick. But, I'm getting better. The book I am trying to scan is older and the white pages have begun to "yellow" and that's the trouble. This time, I just printed out as many copies as I needed and I'll save all the leftovers.

I went ahead and made 8 copies and cut them apart with scissors. I'm tired of trying to figure it out. Now at least I can get to cutting. After the Nascar race tomorrow that is.. Thanks Steve.

I'm not sure yet Fab4. I just brought the Ex home today and I have spent all afternoon tuning/ and cleaning it up. It is in mint condition. Just needed some light housekeeping. I took the table off and messed around with the blade clamps. I'm still not sure about positioning the blades in those clamps but I'll figure it out. I gave the table a real good waxing too. Along with the saw, I got a foot switch that is like the Harbor Freight but not theirs. I think it is the one that came with the saw. Also, there was a big plastic box full of blades. Half Olsen and half PS Wood. So, now I'll get a chance to experience those blades from there too. I would estimate that at retail, there were probably well over $100 in blades. I look forward to building a stand for the saw but I may just sell my Dewalt since it's got the exact same mechanism. Then I can just use the stand I built for it. I couldn't turn the EX the right way on my workbench because it's too long so I turned it sideways and clamped it to the bench. I ran it through the speed range and I can see that it is going to be a very smooth quiet machine. I stuck an old blade in it and ran a piece of scrap through it and it performs very well. I just can't bring myself to sell the Hegner. I always wanted one and I got this one for a very good price so I think I'll keep it and then I will have the top two saws that most folks talk about. I'm still going to keep my eyes open for one of those little Sakura saws that are made by PS. I think it would be a neat little saw to have around. Anyway, that's what I'm up to. I'm going to cut out my patterns for the votive holder and start on it tomorrow. I'll have to use the Dewalt though because it's still the one that I'm used to. Thanks to everybody who helped me on this. I hope to figure out what I'm doing wrong so I can use Inkscape at some later time and maybe accomplish what I set out to do.

Thanks for all your help. I have determined that by laying the pattern on it's side, I can get two across and 4 down to get the 8 that I need. It sure would be great to find a class on Inkscape where you could ask questions in real time. I hate waiting. Thanks again for your help and I'm glad to provide a learning experience for all. My main problem is not so much that I don't understand what I'm doing but when it doesn't work the way I expect it to, I don't know if it's me or my computer or what the heck. I think I have enough computer to do this project but when it just sits there and I don't know what it is doing behind the scenes, I get very frustrated. Now, I have something to work with. You guys are fantastic. By the way, as a matter of information, the size I need these to be is.3 3/4" high by 2 1/4: wide. Folded on the line to make a compound cut. Should be fun.

Thanks Wayne but I'm not sure about what you mean by lasso it. I guess I'm just going to have to make 8 copies and cut them out and paste them to a sheet of paper and then copy to a label sheet. Oh well, it was fun anyway. I hope somebody can come up with a way to use Inkscape. I really want to learn it.

I will give that a try but I think I already did and it just made my computer gag. It seemed to stall the program. But I have a much better .pdf now so I'll give it another try. Every little bit of info is beginning to make some things come clear. Thanks JollyRed.

I'm not following what you mean Jerry. I know I could print 8 copies of the pattern pages and cut out the one I need and they paste them to one sheet of paper or at least as many as would fit. Then copy that onto a label sheet but I thought the whole idea of Inkscape was to be able to manipulate what is on an imported picture. I know that you can create new patterns from scratch but from what I have seen on youtube, it's possible to take a picture of a logo and import it and then break it all apart to use what you need from it. I guess maybe I'm just to old to understand. I thought I did but I guess I don't.

Jerry, I never know when to take you seriously. If you are serious, what I want to do is to put the one pattern on to the full page label sheet as many times as it will fit. If it takes two sheets that's fine.
