    My first and biggest challenge is how to get the saw out of and back into my shop. I don't have room for a ramp and the drop from the shop floor down to the concrete driveway is about 5-6 inches. So, with that in mind, I need someone with a creative mind to help me design something that is mobile and can get in and out of the shop. I'm thinking something with about 6" soft rubber or inflatable wheels on the heavy end with handles to help tilt the saw for moving. With wheels on only one end, it would be more stable once down on the driveway. I'm thinking of some sort of a box configuration wide enough to put the wheels inboard. I have a Dewalt portable table saw on a Dewalt stand that has rubber/metal wheels and I don't have any trouble getting it in and out. So, I'll have to see if I can duplicate that design in some way. I want the saw to sit low for sitting down while sawing and also to keep the center of gravity low.

    Thanks Tony. Actually, I have had the exact opposite experience with the power tools that I have bought from them. But......I always bring whatever I buy home and go over it thoroughly. If not up to snuff, I return it or exchange it. That has only happened twice. The last time was for a biscuit joiner. It was sloppy loose. I went back to the store and found one that was made very well. I exchanged the bad one for the good one. No questions asked. They did tag the one I brought back and put it in the back room. With that said, I fully understand what you are saying about the thickness of the steel that is in that stand and I will take a very good look at it before I buy it. There really has to be a big difference in the stands when one sells for $40 and the other sells for $125. I do think that the expensive one is vastly overpriced though. I would think somewhere in the $75-80 range might be more like it. I'll take a look at Woodcraft Store. I do like to patronize them when I can but sometimes they are just way overpriced on some stuff.

    Kevin, while it's on the top of your head, go buy one, put it in a bag, label it and put it with you EX parts. I took the hold down off of mine and put it with all my saw pieces and parts.

    I found that the nylon screw on my EX was mushroomed very badly and when I looked at parts on Seyco, they get $16 for a lever/screw kit. Plus shipping and tax. I went to Ace Hardware and bought a 2" 1/4-20 nylon screw for $.59 and it is long enough to make two screws out of it. All I had to do was to cut a slot in one end of it for a flat blade screwdriver. Works great.

    I like that design but I would want the single leg in front toward me. I like to straddle it. I did the same thing with stand I built for my Dewalt. I'm so pressed now for space with 3 saws that I want to make the EX a mobile saw that I can roll out of my shop. The problem with my shop is the floor is elevated about 6 inches off the surface of my driveway so I have to figure out some way to get it in and out. I don't have room for a ramp.

    I am thinking about putting my EX on a H/F stand and making it portable. I looked at the one from General International and it sure does look like a H/F. Just curious as to whether anybody has used a H/F stand.

    I don't have the saw. Only the manual. I thought maybe somebody out there might have purchased one of these saws used and didn't get the manual.

    Travis, I purchased a used saw over the weekend and in the box of stuff that came with it was an owner's manual for a saw by the name of Mao Shan Industrial MS-24. I have no need for this manual so if there is anybody out there who needs it, I will gladly mail it to them. A picture is attached. It is also marketed as a Ledacraft. And probably many others.

    Good luck in your moving/selling/buying process. I don't envy you. We've been through it too many times. Best case was selling every thing we owned and moving into our 5th wheel trailer. Went out on the road for 3 years. Came off the road but no pressure to find a home. Now live in a retirement mobile home park one mile off the coast. Love it.

    Thanks Randy. I just went there and was able to download an updated owner's manual for the EX 21 that I just acquired. It seems that there is more info in the newer manual.

    When we were traveling a few years back, we were up near Bimidji, Mn. and I found a wood seller who had 160 acres of basswood trees. He was cutting them and selling the milled wood to all the carvers. I paid him $10 for a box of cutoffs that sat next to his saw. I also got some slabs with the bark still on them for free. I had a hard time carrying that box back to my truck. I've still got more basswood carving blocks than I'll ever use. Nice stuff to carve.

    There would be a definite "weight' difference between the two also. I carve quite a bit and I know I'd sure recognize the difference.

    It sounds similar to a problem I was having until folks here told me what was wrong. Too much adhesive and too small a blade for the job. I admit that I had sprayed the 3M77 pretty heavy and I also had used shelf liner. Once I started cutting some of the pieces and parts were coming off so I added packaging tape in places. Bottom line is, try a bit bigger blade so you have more kerf and check how much adhesive you are using. Once I changed my situation, things cleared up immensely.

    My wife and I decided to try saving our plastic water bottles. We saved up a couple of bags of them and took them to the local super market parking lot where the recycler had their setup. First off, they told us that the caps had to be removed because they weren'' buy them. Second, after they weighed them they gave us a voucher for $1.67 good only at the market. We decided that life is too short to worry about saving bottles. Into the trash they go. The trash company can cull them out and recycle them.
