  1. Maybe your importer needs to hear from his customers so he can change his ordering criteria.
  2. 2/0 is a very small blade so I would imagine that tension, speed and wood thickness would all be factors. Probably a learning/experience and practice situation will solve your dilemma.
  3. So now I'm a "topic of interest"?
  4. It at least gives us an idea of your health. There are so many of us "oldies" on here that when activity slows down I start wondering "who died"?
  5. Very good idea. I'm still in the "engineering" stage of trying to come up with a design that organizes all the brands and tooth patterns of blades that I have acquired. At this point I mostly use only one blade for everything.
  6. Wick, I'm curious as to what you are looking to buy. If you could give more of a description, I, for one, would like to understand. I truly don't recall your inquiry. I apologize for missing it.
  7. Am I that obnoxious? I'll work on it. Probably won't change but I'll try.
  8. Mark, I must admit that I wondered about such an odd project. Now I'm really in awe over the fact that you are actually wearing your hat. Amazing! I hope it doesn't give you a headache. I know it would me. I'm sure you learned a lot while making it too. That's the real gift. The experience and knowledge that you gained from it is pure gold. I guess that's why I make the stuff that I do. Things that are different and useful. And if a pattern can be changed all the better. I'm glad you found this hobby and this family.
  9. I want to say thank you to everybody who took the time to reply to my topic. I'm okd and retired and I forget that other folks have lives outside if the Village. I just got worried that we were falling apart as the family that I feel we are. I do look forward to seeing what everybody is doing once you all have time to scroll again. In the meantime, have fun and stay well. I love you all and worry about you all when I don't hear from you. As for me, my wife informed me that she needed 4 more of the votive candle holders that I have made in the past so I'm working on them. They are very time consuming so it's slow going. Then I have some flower vases that I want to make but I'm going to alter he pattern a bit to accept 2" flameless candles. I'll post pics as I move along.
  10. I just don't recall it slowing down like this in years past. I am missing a few of the old regulars who aren't with us anymore but I just hope we aren't losing all the interest that was so previlent here.
  11. Is it my imagination or has the activity here on the Village slowed WAAAAAAAAY DOWN? Is everybody losing interest or are you all that busy? I sure miss the guys who used to keep things lively. It's just not the same anymore.
  12. As long as it's a quality bearing. There are different grades of quality. The bearings from VXB.Com can be counted on for quality.
  13. To answer your question, I don't use it often but what I want to know is how to keep it fresh so it's useable when needed. I've seen many builders use it along with their regular wood glue to "tack" something together while the wood glue cures. Sort of like a quick clamp. Not meant for long term holding power. Just a quick way of holding things together. Over the years I've bought quick super glues but they always dried up between jobs. And hen I started seeing mention of thick glues and accelerators so I asked the question to try to educate myself prior to wasting more money on more of them. I've seen Star-Bond mentioned the most so I may give them a try.
  14. Keep in mind that the Pegas blade holders come on the Pegas saw but will be a $100 add-on to any other saw. If you have the budget, buy the Pegas and get to scrolling.
  15. I was wondering what you were saying Barbara but now with the explanation I get it. It would have been great if in the world everybody spoke the same language. Be well.
  16. I used to suffer very bad headaches. I called them migraines but not sure. Anyway, I found the magic formula for pain killers and I no longer have the headaches. Whenever I would wake up with a headache or feel one coming on, I'd take a 100 milligram Imitrex ( sumatriptan) and a 500 milligram naproxen (Alleve) together and within 20 minutes it was gone. Sometimes it would make me sleepy so I would lay down for a while but when I woke up, everything was good. Give them a try. Maybe no more shots will be necessary.
  17. English is a very hard language to learn because so many words are spelled the same but have different meanings and pronounciations. Best of luck to you.
  18. Congratualtions on your new 'toy". Your English is far better than I could do with your native language so no problems there. Please do keep us updated on what you make. We ALL love pictures so the more the better. By the way, what country are you in? I see by looking at your saw that the on/off control is mounted at the rear and is very much different from what we have here in the U.S.
  19. I'm sorry but my French is lacking.
  20. Thank you. I know I am but I only have them after doing a lot of buying/selling of used saws. I realize how lucky I am to be where that is possible. I hope the best for you and all your fellow scrollers in So. Africa. It's a shame when a government makes life so difficult when it's not necessary.
  21. Yeah, there is that too. Oh well. I must have been lucky. My type 1 did great up to and after the maintenance. Then I sold it and started upgrading.
  22. Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance! No matter what the subject matter.
  23. GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.!
  24. Happy Easter to all he Villagers. Hallelujah! He has risen!
  25. Nice work Joe. Keep us updated on what you find in your saw.
