  1. A. K. Being A. K., again! Good work. He might even realize how much work they really are; most "customers" do not realize the time involved or even the resources needed to do decent work! Keep on wearing out 788's! I am going to have to but DW stock; if you keep cutting at your present rate!
  2. First-- congratulations on a very well thought out and made project. Next welcome to the forum. Ask any question and someone will have a good answer among the many. Make a comfortable "nest" to work in. Light, chair, music, beer holder, & what ever makes it comfortable for YOU! A good source of blades is the link I have included. I actually know him and he is a good guy all the way. He is also a saw-man and can give excellent advice too! http://www.pozsgaidesigns.com/index.htm Everyone here will also try to help with issues.
  3. A.K. being A. K. ! We are expecting prodigious amounts of them from you NOW!
  4. Scrappile is correct! Very nice!
  5. Super nice. I hope that you stack cut so you get more than 2 for all that time! I would try on the poorest one of the bunch a very LIMITED amount of light torching to bring out highlights. If you do that; I want to see the results! Thanks. I did a quick count of blade releases and got about 80 & probably missed some! A WHOLE lot of work! No pun intended; but it ended up that way!
  6. Just the usual very nice work Dick! No piece is ever 100+% perfect! You will be the only person to even see the oopses! I have run a scrollsaw for over 60 years and I do hope to eventually get GOOD at it!
  7. A.K.-- I just need to know what you did during that 3 hours of spare time you had in there! Kidding aside ----- good job and amazing SPEED! Was the paint even dry?
  8. All said above!Congratulations on the very nice work!
  9. They are not "my style" but are very nicely done. The people above have summed it up! I can afford to do a lot of free work; because it is just a HOBBY! You CANNOT! Tell her straight up that you are TRYING to make a living and have no OTHER means of support and that she either pays fair or you will refuse her work. It appears to be nothing except aggravation anyway!
  10. Everyone above stated it very well. I have been associated with scroll saws since the fall of 1953 and sometime may even get semi-decent at running them. Life is a perpetual learning journey! I do think the piece turned out well-too!
  11. A.K. always has good ideas and advice! Nice work! i looked at a cnc machine today in Woodcraft the "cheapie" was $1300+ a HUGE CHUNK on the STEEP side for my ver limited tool budget!
  12. My "first piece" was lost 60+years ago! Very well dona as they have all already stated! Scroll work becomes addictive-- cheaper than many other "hobbies" and can be done at home too. Did you get one of Dick's old saws, or did you get a nice new one?

    deer hunt

I agree Deer hunting gets over at "Dark-30" -- Oh the sign is nice too!
  14. All said that needed saying ABOVE! I do like them all. the mug has special appeal; although I avoid-(mostly)- plywood, if I can. For some things it is just the bes course.
  15. When A. K. likes it you know you did very well!
  16. I do think they are all well done. Being a former ND farm boy now in OR. I have to go for the western motif items as my favorites! Jorge is my #1.
  17. It is very nice work. Hopefully you do well!

    Beer

Neat! I am sure some of us will "borrow/STEAL" your idea!
  21. Meflick must have been trying to read my writing! If it is important-- I write a lot slower than normal so I will be able to read it correctly! A.K. they both look nice and now you can give some Mira a neat gift too! I like to have them write it and also verbally give it to me-- I sometimes have them email it to me-- than I can print the copy of that and any errors will be theirs!
  22. You just an "old cut-up"! And VERY good at it too!
  23. Nice cutting-- Are you not tired of names? I know-- take the money! Right! Wishing you the best.
  24. Dick, it is fine! That commute to TN will be a long one!
  25. Lucky2 describes what they are trying to INFLICT here too! Great Cut on an IMPORTANT issue! GUNS do NOT COMMIT any crimes! PEOPLE DO!--Trucks, railway sabotage, poisons, fires are all also means of mass crime! People cause those crimes TOO; not the implement used!
