  6. Beautiful pattern and cutting Kris!
  7. Any product in North America that is sold as a finish is child safe once it is cured. I say sold as a finish as some folks use products that are not sold as a finish like lemon oil and orange oil. Those are sold as cleaners and polishes.
  8. Stoney, I have not used the brands you mentioned, but I used to have a Ryobi detail sander. Well.....it was a POS. It really was a waste of time and effort to use. I found it easier to sand by hand!
  9. Wow Mimi, that looks very delicate! Great job!
  10. If I were in your business, I certainly would go with an appropriate saw for the task. Going with a saw that is not designed for your needs will surely disappoint you. You may have to save up for the right saw.

  15. That’s great Marg, you did a wonderful job on it!
  16. Are you talking about the base? For me 1/4” is to thin. I would go with at least 1/2”. A 45° would look good.
  17. Well, that came out nice!
  18. Kevin, the middle portrait is sideways. I think it is Slash from the band Guns and Roses. I could be wrong.
  19. Very nice work!
  20. Cool!
  21. I use a FD Polar # 5. I usually cut them out of Mahogany. Definitely not as hard as Cherry, so a #7 for the Cherry is what I would use. For pins, I use 7/8” thick wood or there about. I center the front view pattern on the thin face of the blank and the profile view of the pattern on the wide side. When you cut the reindeer out, you will be left with two blanks for the pins. Using a disk sander, sand off the contours to flatten them. Then glue on a pin back and spray on a finish. Noe you have three products for the price of one!
