  1. Great work Jay! I love cutting those reindeer. I make pins out of the outside scrap pieces. I give them away to customers and anyone interested in my work at shows.

Welcome to the Village Dave! Hope to see some of your work soon!
  3. Beautiful work Pete!
  4. They all look great Gordie!
  5. Nice work Tammi!
  6. And just to clear up one other item that was mentioned. The EX saws are not a clone of the DEWALT saw. It’s just the opposite. The original DeWALT saw was designed by Summerfield Desgns. They were the creator of the original Excalibur saw. DeWALT had them design and build the DeWALT DW788. That was the type 1 and modeled after the original Excalibur saw. That’s why some parts are interchangeable.
  7. Great looking work Ralph!
  8. Beautiful work!
  9. Hey Bill, have you tried contacting the distributor? They should be able to tell you where the fuse is. Also, I noticed in the parts diagram that the cord set is removable. That’s one more thing to check before you have to dissect the saw. Good luck!
  10. They look nice Les! A spindle sander is nice, I do have one but you can get by with an inexpensive set of spindle sanders from Harbor freight. Of course you need a drill press!
  11. You have to seal both ends with latex paint and let them dry before you cut them to desired thickness. If you don’t seal the ends, they will crack and split as they dry. If you live near a wood working store you can buy a product that is designed for that purpose. Turners use it for drying green wood. If you don’t seal the ends, the wood WILL crack! It might be less work if you buy them all ready prepared from Amazon.
  12. Hey William, I don’t know if I can help anymore with your saw, but I just wanted to say it’s good to hear from you again. I know you used to be active on other forums and you just faded away. I hope you can sort your saw problems out and visit us more often. For SSV members, William is a very accomplished scroller and turner that a lot of us looked up to for a long time!
  13. Welcome to the Village William! The first thing to check is to see if your electric circuit is live. Plug in something that you know works. If it is live, then check to see if the fuse is blown. Good luck!
  14. Way to go Joe!
  15. Nice work Kevin!
  16. Your work never needs critique Dan, it looks great!
  17. It looks great Les! I use a 12” drill press for accurate drilling. It is a bench top Delta. With a 12” throat, it gives me 24” of drilling. I’ve had it for about 20 years and have never had a need for anything else.
  18. Congratulations! It’s a great feeling isn’t it? Nice work and continued sales.
  19. Cool!
  20. You did all that with just one blade? You will find that blades do no last very long. Once the blade stops cutting like you want it to, it’s time the replace it. Congratulations on all you have done. You are off to a great start!
  21. You two make a nice team!
  22. Nice work Gary!
  23. Great work Edward!
  24. They will fit! Remember the DeWALT saw was designed and patterned by the same co. that designed the EX saws.
  25. There are two versions of Pegas replacement clamps. The ones for the DeWALT saw do not have the tension lever on it so they would work if you want to keep using the same tension procedure. The ones with the lever on them will work just like the modern EX saws. Is your saw Purple?
