Another vote for you to post more boxes from me Jim. You made a great job of all of them. And thanks for revealing the wood on the Rodeo box, I was wondering what that wood was. Rob
  2. From memory Brenda you have a Hegner clone. Why not fit the blade to the blade clamps and twist it before fitting the clamps in the saw? Does that make sense? Rob
  3. Hi Harry, Welcome to the Village. Nice to have a few more Brits on board. I'm from the UK originally but now live in New Zealand. I also own a Q3 (Type 2) which is a great saw. I have a copy of the manual and parts diagram which I can send you if you like. Just drop me a PM. Welcome again, and be sure to post pictures of your work. We love pictures! Rob
  4. I love that. It's a very pretty bowl and the inlay set it off perfectly. Rob
  5. Sorry to hear that Ralph. Hope you get it sorted soon. Rob
  6. Very nice! It looks like you have made great use of the space. Rob
  7. Love the dog cuttings Kevin. Steve Good patterns I think? I'm sure I have them somewhere and must get around to doing them. Rob

Very cute and well cut. Rob.
  9. Great job on both Peter. The record is excellent. Rob
  10. I often think we need a translation reference document for those of us down here John. It took me ages to find out Mineral Oil was called Paraffin Liquid in NZ! Rob

    Tree of life

It was based on a kids colouring page I found. Rob
  12. Tree of life cut from 3/4 inch rimu. 7.5 inches diameter. Thanks for looking. Rob
  13. Lovely piece Kevin. Hope you can get rid of the fuzzies without breaking anything. Rob
  14. Phenomenal work. Love the choice of red for the backer too. Rob
  15. Looks great Brenda and as everyone has said, leave it alone! Rob
  16. I haven't posted for a while since I bought a lathe recently and have not been doing much scrollwork. I have just finished this sign though as a present for my brother in law. He is Australian and a pretty serious home brewer so when I saw this intarsia pattern I had to make it for him. Pattern is from Fantasticwoodworking.com and the font is Umbra Normal. Thanks for looking, Rob
  17. Great work and interesting to see linseed oil vs danish oil on the same cutting. Personally I like the linseed oil, it looks a little warmer. Rob
  18. I have cut that one. There's nothing quick about it as I recall. Anyway, it never sold and finally I dropped it so it ended up on the firewood pile. Great cutting, it must be quite imposing at that size. Rob
  19. Love the cat, even though I'm a dog man.... Rob
  20. Absolutely stunning Paul. I love the frame especially, it is beautiful. Rob
  21. Sometimes the drill column gets in the way JT making it hard to reach holes in the centre hence peoples desire to use a dremel router to overcome that limitation but still drill a perpendicular hole. Rob
  22. Beautifully cut. I particularly like the little additions (shell, bird, boat etc) they really add interest. Rob
  23. Great cutting. I would have chickened out and left the uprights attached at the top but it does look better done properly. Well done Dick, enjoy your holiday. Rob
  24. Congratulations Dave. Well deserved praise from Steve, your work gets more impressive with each post. Rob
  25. I have a 3 dioptre LED magnifier which works well for me. @Rockytime here is an online dioptre to focal length converter you might find useful: http://www.bbastrodesigns.com/diopterToFocalLengthConverter.html Rob
