  1. You can get a frequency app for most phones that would do that. Given the different size, thickness and teeth of different blades, the frequency would vary blade to blade. Personally, I do not pay very much attention to the exact tension. Close is good enough.
  2. I assume the lath is 1/4 or 5/16" thick. I would not even attempt to use a router with such a small pieces. it is too difficult to safely hold small pieces. I would use a Mac Mop or similar or sanding mop to ease the edges.
  3. I use a skip tooth blade fir cutting 3/4" material. I would not use a reverse tooth blade as they cut much slower.
  4. Earlier, I posted suggesting you back up your computer. I did this because mine did not want to start up normally. After I backed it up, I shut it down and opened the mid sized tower case. I found that the case vents were partially plugged with dust. The inside of the case was pretty clear . I blew it out carefully with canned air. You do not want to damage the case, video card or cpu fans. It is a good idea to routinely check the case ventilation.
  5. Well, I hope that I got someone's attention. This morning, my computer burped and would not startup. It is an older Dell Tower that has been updated with a 2 TB solid state drive and plenty of ram but still running Windows 7. Anyway, I did a restore and got it up again. I hooked up one of my 2 TB portable drives and copied all my documents. This can happen to any if us. Please consider backing up or copying all your files to a safe place. I have read quite a few stories of people losing all their files and feel sorry for them as they could have backed them up.
  6. This has been the best thread...thanks it brightened my day
  7. That was absolutely wonderful. How did you do that as I am totally amazed !
  8. Now, I think you should play a video of your street organ !
  9. Thank you !!

Some people, including me at times, are afraid to speak out what we believe. There are those who get offended and violently offended by almost anything.

The problems are being recognized by only by certain groups. We can be arrested for the wrong pronoun, called a terrorist if we stand up at a school board meeting, shouted down if we have the wrong view point, have the IRS or FBI come after us...etc. But what do we do beside ranting about it. These are difficult topics to talk about in public as there is no longer reasonable discussion. I find it difficult to talk with my kids about it. We need to support political candidates that match our beliefs and vote for them in local and larger elections. We need to voice our convictions even if it will subject us to derision.

ON MY SOAP BOX Yes, I am glad no more masks. But mad as you know what about how it was mishandled. I am very scared about how information was manipulated. We needed to know the best scientific information and any opposing views. But,not only the COVID information but all information is being manipulated. If you have a viewpoint that differs from the certain people you get attacked. People are being openly censored. Accidentally saying the wrong pronoun can get you fired or attacked. I honestly believe that our constitutional rights are being under mined. OFF MY SOAP BOX GOD BLESS THE USA
  13. I think McDonald's is the worst coffee on earth...IMHO. In general, most restaurants do not make very good coffee. We make a pot of coffee every morning and grind the beans that morning. My absolute favorite was Mountain Thunder coffee from Kona but the price is too much. Right now we are enjoying Jack Rabbit coffee. The beans are roasted just before shipment. I stopped buying Starbucks beans because they tend to be old and stale. We also use a Keurig and are drinking Angelino's k-cups. I like to try various coffee brands and find ones that I enjoy. Coffee is like scroll saw blades as everyone has a favorite and nobody wrong.
  14. Each Starbucks is usually locally owned so they set their own rules to some extent. I enjoy a latte every once in awhile...what else should I do with my pennies. I can not take it with me and I earned it so I will enjoy it. My original comment Starbucks was that I got very good service that day and I appreciate it. Unfortunately, if I stopped going to a company that has had a negative story written about it, there would be nowhere to go. People are complaining about everything. The other side is that I have seen absolutely obnoxious people in Starbucks. Talking so loud on cell phones and complaining about everything, I have even heard someone complain about a police officer because he makes them afraid. We live in a very weird time.
  15. I would appreciate seeing how you did those.
  16. I do not make jokes about the police. They have a very difficult job to do and a very dangerous ones. The number of police killed is alarming as is the constant abuse they take.
  17. My local Starbucks fairly often has the police in it.
  18. For anyone interested, the pictures show where you can get this monitor with one on Amazon and the other eBay. They are around $45 or so. There are also nicer ones for a bit more.
  19. Beautiful box. How much do they sell for?
  20. Congratulations and enjoy !
  21. This is true as there is a cost which must be passed along one way or another. However, there is such a thing a outrageous shipping costs.
  22. Earlier this week, I had to go down to Indianapolis for an outpatient procedure. It was scheduled early in the morning and I needed to stay overnight before it. I stayed at a Hampton Inn in Fishers Indiana. What a pleasant surprise. The staff was exceptionally was nice and the hotel spotless. I have stayed in hotels around the world and this rates near the top. The check in person gave me a list of nearby restaurants and suggested a brew house. Another great thing. I normally do not drink but had an apple code beer with my burger....Yummmmy I arrived at the hospital early and thought I would be waiting awhile. NO WAY...they took me back and got the procedure completed before my appointment time. The doctor and nurses were very nice and answered my many questions. On the way home, I stopped at a Starbucks and they were much more pleasant than normal. I wrote both the hotel and hospital to thank them. I feel so lucky with alk this that I should buy a lottery ticket.
  23. Since I do not use a timer, it would be interesting for those that do to post a picture of a project and the time. One interesting thing is that the time does not include time to change blades only machine time.
  24. I understand why people who are selling pieces want to know how long something takes, but why do those who scroll for a hobby need to know.
  25. There are literally hundreds of posts about blades. Some like Pegas and others FD. You will get lots of opinions. I do not look at the costs but buy what works for me. I use what works best for me and the type of scrolling I do.
