After my craft show, I received numerous orders that I just finished. Now I can start other projects that I have to do for Christmas, also I have to get my kitchen ready for new cupboards and counters in the new year. We will have been without kitchen counters and cupboards for approximately 8 months. Our old kitchen sold 2 days after we posted it and all the cabinets maker are way behind on their orders. I thought retirement was supposed to be relax and enjoy, I think I work more now than when I had a job (IT manager) LOL
PS these critters with mask from Sue Mey were my best sellers I cut more than 100 of them
Most of it, between what I cut in Florida during the winter and at home during the rest of the year. The sugarbush marquetry was done at least 20 years ago.
Yes but everyone is scare with COVID. We have people that do wood turning, knitting, painting, sewing maybe next year have a day which will be crafts day in our location, people can walk from one place to the other and meet at the same time.
Well it is all over, great turn out beautiful day for us at this time of the year, low 70. I sold my sugar bush marquetry for the asking price and made over $1200 on the day. Now I have room to store more crafts for next year and buy more wood.
Just to reiterate, I decided to have my own crafts show in my garage where I live. We are a community of 185 double bungalows all retired people and I decided to get rid of some of my inventory. It will be held tomorrow between 10 and 2.00. Here is a video of my set up.
First of all let me say that Travis does not want any politics on this Forum and I agree 1000% I find it inappropriate for a Canadian to post such a thing, I am sorry that he feels that way and try to get his point on this site.
The wife is making door hangers and she comes to the shop to have me cutting some stuff for her to use (happy wife is a happy life). Managed to cut some other stuff for the craft show Saturday. Bowls pattern from Sheila Landry, I cut some plexiglass to used on theLED base lights and since I used 1/8” BB backup with blue tape on to help the cut, we decided how about making napkins holder with them. Had time to cut the trivet, anxious to see how things turn out. I couldn’t resist to cut Steve Good pattern about “hand made with a scrollsaw” Enjoy
My Ex developed a bad back and forth movement. I tried to adjust it by first make sure that the arm is parallel to the table (out 1/8”) and then I turned the motor clockwise until I cannot turn it anymore to the wire from the motor to the scrollsaw is tight against the saw. It was the best for back and forth movement but still not enough. Do I have to start counterclockwise from as far as I can or is there other remedy. The saw is closed to 10 years old?
