  1. Speed may be an issue. Make sure your blade speed is up to the cutting. 2nd - make sure your blade is in the right way. That can make the project jump,
  2. Glad to have you.
  3. Very nice.
  4. Very Nice work.
  5. I finished these this past weekend. Sue Mey designs. These are very popular, 2 of the 3 were sold within 30 minutes of posting them on FB and the other is spoken for. Made of 3/4 Poplar.
  6. I go through a ton of blades when I use Purple Heart. FD Ultra Reverse #5 do the best for me.
  7. I've thought about drilling a larger hole near the intake to see if that would relieve some pressure and noise Kind of worried it might make it worse though..
  8. On my Ex I would improve the dust collector. For my Jet I like its Dust collection and my quiet Fein Shop vac fits the saw great, however, the noise caused by the suction is louder than both the saw and the Shop Vac. So much so that I must wear earphones. I need to find a fix for that.
  9. I had the same issue with my jet. Putting the Pegas blade clamps on fixed my issue.
  10. Very nicely done. A lot of cuts there.

    Jet JWSS-22B

Two big issues with this saw. 1. My speed control backs off while I am cutting. I constantly have to adjust the speed back up where I want it. 2. The tension control on the back of the saw also rotates counter clockwise while cutting. I have attempted to locate the issue but can find no explanation. Tech support has not been able to help me with either issue. I would not buy this saw again.
  12. I have had nothing but problems with it. The clamp system never did work well for me, so I installed the Pegas clamps and that made it better. The speed control will move while I am cutting and the tension adjustment moves while the machine is on as well. I break a ton of blades with the thing compared to my EX.

    Hi all.

My profile says I registered here in 2015 but I haven't spent any time here and don't remember introducing myself. I have been active in a different Forum and friends there suggested I come here. From the looks of things I am glad I took their advice. I am heavily into Fret Work but do just about anything my wife tells me too. I currently have a EX21 and a Jet 22 (worst purchase I could have made in my opinion). The EX is my go to. I do make some patterns and my Favorite Designers are Charles Dearing and Mike Williams. I do most of my portraits on 3/4 inch wood I like the depth the wood gives to the project. Attached a few of my favorites. Hope to learn a lot from you all.
  14. This was a big seller for the Christmas season and the orders have carried over into the New Year so it was the first project done for the year. A Charles Dearing design.
  15. Thank you very much for posting this. I will definitely use it.
