    I have had success using Gorilla Spray glue a few parts at a time.

    I'm using the 1.75 and it seems perfect. I have not tried the 2.25. Who knows it might be better than perfect.

    I guess that's very much a matter of opinion. I'm surprised tha it is so inexpensive. It's very good quality and I don't know how the light/magnifier can cost less than $250. I would, gladly, have paid $300 for it.

    If my Dad were still here (he died when I was thirteen -64 years ago), I would give him this: The original design for this was by Sheila Landry and I made modifications to make the island and cabin look like Pellow's Island in Lake Pivabiska. This was Dad's favourite place on earth and he would be pleased to know that I love the island just as much, that I am taking care of it in his name, and that it will, eventually, be passed on at least two further generations.

    I discovered this when attending a class at Judy Gale Roberts' studio last month and fell in love with it right away. I purchased one from Judy and go can do so too. Along the way, I have tried out a few others, but did not like them either. It was really easy to set up. The time it took me from when I started too open the box to when I was making use of the light/magifier was less than 5 minutes. Here is a photo, I took yesterday of the thing in use: I highly highly recommend this light/magnifier. It is already making my scrolling better and easier.

    I too, have collected many many patterns, some free, some I have paid for. I don't consider this to be a problem. I eventually get around to cutting a lot of them and I get pleasure just browsing through those that I have not cut some which, I realize, that I will never cut.

    Alex, I can't see from the photos whether or not the plan includes a way to easily get the money out. Is there something on the bottom of the bank for this, or does one need to destroy the bank in order to extract the money?

    My granddaughter who is 19 is very attached to many things that I have made for her and, in particular, the rocking horse I made for her for her 1st birthday. It was OK for her younger brother to use it and, still later, she let a couple of cousins borrow it but, when I suggested donating the rocking horse, she would not hear of it. Right now, it is in our basement but, if we ever downsize, we will have a problem.

    Alex, I very much like your multi-layer patterns and plan to buy one soon. It's hard to pick a favourite, but this may be it. One thing that bothers me is gluing them together. What glue do you use?

    My daughter, Kathleen, is a special needs teacher in a Toronto inner-city school. Her speciality is remedial reading. She has certainly earned this plaque which I recently made for her: Sue Mey designed the pattern. I cut it out of 6mm thick Baltic Birch plywood. I made the backing and the frame out of Walnut.

    It turns out that flowers have seldom been the subject of my scroll saw work. I only remember three such projects. The project that I favour is one called morning glory: I liked it so much that I made two of them. The pattern is by Mike Williams.

    WOW! That very innovative. I particularly like the idea of using a sheet of coloured glass as one of the layers and I am going to look for an opportunity to do that.

    My first project for 2019 is a rather simple one. I am recovering from hip joint replacement surgery and, next week, I will "graduate" for my Physio Therapy sessions with Jane. I made her this plaque which I will present at the end of my last session: This was designed by Chachi and it is the second such plaque that I havemade. The foreground is 3mm thick cherry and the background is 7mm thick Jatoba.

    First of all, I have continued my recent "tradition" of mailing home-made wooden cards. Here are photos of the cards for the last three years: 2016: 2017: 2018: Then, last week, I discovered a pattern for a great freestanding tree ornament by Sue Mey. So far, have made one of these: I will definitely make more of these. Right now, I am experimenting with combining this along with some coloured glass as a background (stained-glass is another one of my many hobbies).

    That's a very impressive number of sales.

    I own the earlier version of the EX-30 when it was still made by Sommerville Industries in Canada 15 years ago and it is a very good saw. With the exception of the colour (mine is purple) and the larger table on this saw, this saw and mine look identical. I would want at least $800 if I were to sell mine so this looks like a good deal.
