  1. Ever since my saw was new I have had to use the highest tension setting. It seems like now there is enough slop that I have to pull the blade clamps toward each other when tightening the blade clamp screws in order to get enough blade tension. Where should I start? dave
  2. I spray my backers with black lacquer, glue my fret work on with Tightbond 2. When it is dry I coat the whole project with clear. I feel that my glue is not sticking real well to the black lacquer. I have read a lot of you all talking about E 6000 glue. Would it work well for this type of application? dave

  16. Rob, Thanks for the feedback on the "little nib". It is me because I made the pattern. I could probably leave those out and nobody would ask where the "little nibs" are. Thanks again for all the comments. dave
  17. Beautiful job on a nice pattern! dave
  18. Other than the leg it looks great. I get so bummed when something like that happens to me. It usually drives me crazy until I fix it or toss it. I usually give it my best shot to fix it. It is much too nice of a piece to scrap so I would definitely try to fix it. dave
  19. I really enjoy getting opinions. It makes me think when I create a project. I like it best when someone says there is something they don't care for. Most of my stuff I make to sell. I always use paint on some and stain on others. I find that the pained do better than the stained. But a few people like the natural look. That is my market. dave
  20. Les, Jim Flinn has done a tutorial in the tutorial section. My goal this winter is to put together a short video for beginners. because I am definitely not an expert by any means. Thanks again to all of you for the nice comments. dave
