    Just completed this project for an upcoming wedding. Made of 1/8" baltic birch with a 1/4" walnut plywood backer in a walnut frame.

    I made this pan to put my Danish Oil in. While a puzzle is soaking one is dripping.

    I also use Danish oil on my puzzles. I usually soak them while I am cutting another one. Then use a draining rack and let it drip while I am soaking the next. After that I put the pieces on edge on corrugated cardboard. I never have to blow them off or wipe them off or anything like that. The cardboard wicks out any excess oils. ....................The process that works for me.

    A couple years ago I bought spray equipment. I was using 10 rattle cans a week. Way too much money. I use SW precat lacquer in medium rub. I can buy it for $29 a gallon. I have done a couple pieces with Danish oil and sprayed the lacquer over it and have seen no visual difference in look. I can tint the lacque whenever I want colors..........This works for me.
