  1. Awesome work, congrats
  2. Marg Took me a while to even find a green ex, the one I found was from the late 90's I would suggest you take a pic, explain the issue you think you have and post it here, and, send it in an email to seyco
  3. From the pattern library, part of a pattern by Grandpa - thanks Grandpa
  4. Very nice clean cutting. outstanding
  5. I tried both, I had a on / off switch already and it works fine. The wife was bugging me as to what to I wanted for my b-day, so I found the deadman (momentary on) switch and she got that Hands down - the deadman switch wins for me Jim
  6. If I can change two things, I like the hearts. ( I would drop the names across the top - too hard to read and they know who they are, and if possible put (not a cutting) an actual pic of them when they got married in the left heart, and a pic of them today in the right. Other wise I like the square one edit: My friends have learned not to ask my opinion, sorry if I overstepped. Jim
  7. Very nice, the contrast in gears is great
  8. Very nice, I love the presentation sytle
  9. Great pattern and a nice result, good cutting
  10. Very nice cutting and I like the torching effect.
  11. Finally, I found the perfect light for an Excalibur - at least perfect for me anyway The clamp (light base) is zip tied to the swing arm. The light uses 3 AAA batteries, BUT - it comes with a USB charging cable. No batteries needed, it woks fine hooked to one of the 120v little charging blocks for cell phones and tablets Each light can be turned off and on independently https://www.google.com/search?q=Flexible+4LED+2Dual+Arms+Clip+On+spot+Light+&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 It works well for these old eyes, hope it might help someone else. Jim
  12. Beautiful, impressive skill, especially when I read you use spirals - WOW
  13. Very very nice. How deep is the cabinet? I built one not nearly as nice some time ago, I used one of those acoustic ceiling panels as the back drop for the 1" thick bristle board - works well.

Very nive, I especially like the way the back piece grain makes the cutting look
  15. I prefer to use a screen shot utility, take a screen shot of the pdf, I use zscreen (free) but many like snagit. In both you can set the utility preference to automatically open the graphic program and paste it there. I have the adobe suite, pdf's can be a PITA to manipulate IMO
  16. I really like those, well done

very nice, and a great sentiment
  18. very nice cutting
  19. Russell, by all means share the pattern. Jim
  20. Russell I did stretch it a little, I wanted the bull to be more prominent. And the aspect ratio of pic vs template in the attached pics is different too. Do you think it my stretching it, should not have been done? Keep in mind I'm new to this hobby, and I have no feelings to get hurt. My wife says I have a rotary pump instead of a heart - LOL.
  21. They they created two great patterns at my request, choosing one over the other was difficult, but I went with Russell's (BirchBark's)
  22. Very nice, I especially like the snake
  23. SOLVED After long arduous hours and hours of experimentation. {well it sounds good} Put the arbor in your drill press, and hold 400 grit sandpaper on it as it spins, sand the rubber down in stages, loosen the holding screw and at some point he paper drum just barely slides on the arbor and will tighten right up.
  24. Beautiful work
  25. Funny how during the cold war, no one feels it was a war. We obviously kept military secrets much better back then because the public has no idea how many times a FAD 1 unit went to 5 minute status with ammo issued and the site locked down - until the other side backed down. Or how many "vehicle accident's" there were - remains not view-able.
