  1. Yes adjustable .The seat pad has about 8 positions. I bought it online It is used for star gazing I can not remember the name of the place.but I will look for it
  2. I am using a Hegner so this will have to really show me something.I wanted to try the EX for the blade install.Tomarrow i will put a vibration meter on both. But I think the Hegner has less vibration we will see.
  3. Used from eBay Just the saw The stand came from Seyco
  4. Well my new to me EX16 arrived. As the UPS driver was taking it out of the truck I saw nothing but packing nuts fall out of the box and one leg showing thru a hole. What do you think of someone who packs a 57# saw to ship from CA.to PA with just packing nuts and a couple of sheets of brown paper. The saw was scratched up a bit.One rubber foot missing.I bought the stand for it,so did not need the foot. All said and done I spent an hour tuning it up.Adjusting everything,.Removing the vac system,Hooking up my own collector.I mounted on the EX stand and did some test cuts.Very happy so far.The discription said it had 2 hours on it There are some scratches on the table But from what i have seen on You Tube This seems to be normal with the EX.I like the blade install on it and it runs nice.Saturday I will give it a work out.
  5. My first saw was the Porter Cable .Good saw for the money.low vibration Quiet But if you can,t install a blade what good is the saw.I had a hard time with the lower clamp.Even made the tool for it.That is up for sale now that I bought the EX.When will these tool companies learn and quit selling junk.It would cost about another 25.00 to put a decent blade mount on the Porter Cable.
  6. i just cut a wildlife seen and one of the Bucks in it is now a Doe.You could try some CA glue .That works for me if I had to glue.I was a trim carpenter for years and I swear buy it.Read the label every brand has a different set up time.
  7. I like this support group
  8. I would get tired just drilling holes Let alone cut it. That would take a lot of Sangria
  9. I just bought a EX 16 off of EBAY.Do I really need it. Maybe I just wanted to try an Excalibur for the top feed.I am happy with the Hegner I guess if it does not work out I could always sell it.
  10. Thanks everyone All of these patterns came from Steve's workshop
  11. Scrollsaw workshop
  12. I was feeling my oats the last couple of days. Two are gifts. But once I started I felt like Keven.Keep on going.
  13. Yes I could not understand that one either
  14. Thanks Kevin I don,t have a problem cutting.i was having a hard time painting I found this paint on amazon It is called Ceramcoat. What a pleasure it is to work with. One coat it dries pretty quick. I paint the ribbons 2 coats of acrylic clear first then glue and then BLO and wax the angel. Stack cutting all of the ribbons is quick
  15. Never realized how many Cancer awareness colors there i am going to try to add a personal touch to each one
  16. Really nice
  17. i very seldom had a problem on EBAY buying or selling As long as you do your homework before and not after the transaction. If I am going to buy used on Ebay I first check to see if it is within reasonable driving and and if it is a tool Are parts. If it is used i will offer 1/2 the price of new.to pay for repair.I sell a lot on eBay .and what i have learned is eBay favors the buyer When I sell it is mostly local pick up only.I live in a pretty populated area so i don't have a problem with selling.Come look at it.IF YOU LIKE YOU BUY
  18. I have just started cutting not to long ago.But the Modified geometry are the only blades i have total eliminated from my blade collection so far
  19. I have my Hegner set up the way I wanted it as far as upper blade clamp. I drilled out a 5MM socket head screw to except the Excalibur blade repair pins so i could use a different wing knob To me the Hegner is bullet proof. No moving parts except for 2 brass bushings.Grant you if the motor goes I could buy a new Excalibur for the price of the Hegner motor I just wanted to find a second saw so I could try out top feed. That is why I was looking used.Either Dewalt or Excalibur. But for the price they are asking used I could buy new
  20. i would not spend that kind of money on a used excalibur. I would buy new first.
  21. yep that is the one
  22. The other 21 on ebay 650.00 or make offer 650.00 plus shipping is a lot for that saw.I made him an offer and he never responded accept or decline. That is no way to do business.i have a few things on ebay now.I respond to all offers low ball and all.
  23. There is an Excalibur on ebay. It is a Big saw with a very small table. And the table tilts. Is it one of the originals. This is made in Canada.Did they have any problems with this model.
