  1. Well done on those names, Marg.
  2. Wow, that is super, Dan.
  3. Those are amazing. I can't imagine shaping with a dremel.
  4. Very nice looking pen, Roly. Now I could go for some pickled herring. My Norwegian heritage.
  5. Very well done on the puzzle. The veining really adds to the character.
  6. Thanks again everyone.
  7. Not a bit of trouble. FD UR #1 is my go to blade for most interior cuts with 1/2" or less and moderately soft wood.
  8. Way to go Brian. Now save your first project in a prominent spot in your shop. You can look and see progress on every new project.
  9. Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
  10. Thanks Len, sure does. I really appreciate good designers like Sheila.
  11. Thanks, Larry. facebook.com/dennis.knappen for my personal page or facebook.com/SandyOaksWoodcraft for the business page.
  12. Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
  13. Thanks, Jerry. That was not on purpose, just a surprise. Now I hope the Poplar doesn't turn green or it will look like moldy bread.
  14. Thanks Jeff and Rob. It was an easy cut.
  15. Thanks Jeff. That does sound like a very nice gift.
  16. Thanks, Dan and Steve. This is the second one I made.
  17. Thanks for the comments. Sheila Landry also commented on my Facebook page.
  18. Another pattern by Sheila Landry purchased from her site. The wall plaque is made from 1/2" Poplar and backed with 1/8" Baltic Birch plywood staind black with Samen stain. I used FD UR #1 for the interior cuts and FD UR #5 for the exterior cut. There and 3 coats of spray Shellac. The first coat raised the grain, Comments welcome.
  19. This candle tray is made from 1/2" Hard Maple approximately 8" in diameter. It is a Sheila Landry design purchased from her site. I cut it with FD UR #3 blades. There is one coat of 50% BLO and one coat of spray polyurethane semi gloss. Comments welcome.
  20. Well done on the pattern and cutting.
  21. Very nice cutting.
  22. Well done, Dan. That must be a tight fit using FD UR #3.
  23. On wood that thick, I use FD Polar #7 or #9. Polar removes the saw dust better than FD UR.
  24. Very nice, Jim and a great service for kids.
  25. Well done on both the pattern and cutting. Everyone seems to love trains.
