    I do it the easy way, spray.

    I use 50% BLO to make the wood pop and it is less expensive. On most I finish with polyurethane or shellac.

    Thanks Len. It is not a problem with the blades. With 7/8" thick wood, any little out of square would be a major problem. I wanted to be sure the blade and table were square.

    The pattern for this is by Judy & Dave Peterson and found in SWWC Spring 2017 #66. I used solid 7/8" Cherry approximately 6" x 7 1/2". I used FD Polar #7 blades and two coats of 50% BLO. A fun puzzle to make, but I had to check the blade after each cut to be sure it was square to the table. Comments welcome.

    Welcome to the forum from TN. You purchased a great saw. I have both the DeWalt and EX21. The EX21 is my go to, but I still use both.

    I completed five bowls on the scroll saw. I have a flex Drum Sander, so it helps in the sanding process.

    I have to ask, Did you make this on a scroll saw? No matter, it is a great looking bowl. Lots of sanding!

    As for blade storage, I have an EX21 and there are slots for blade tubes, but I als use plastic craft boxes. The blades fit perfectly in these boxes.

    Like I said on the other forum, beautiful work. The fourth picture is amazing.

    I have had the Seyco for about three years. The flex drums work great. The only problem was with the shaft accessories. They would come unglued. I called Ray and received replacements right away.

    I am not sure, but the attached file is the actual pattern and can be downloaded. This should be removed.

    Very nice cutting, Edward. Cars are hard to cut with all the straight lines. Why did you use glass?
