Yes, there is a specific mounting orientation. The blade faces to the front of the saw and the teeth pointing down. It is sometimes hard to tell the direction of the teeth. Run your finger along the blade. Rough side up so the teeth are pointing down.
Perched Bald Eagle. The pattern is by Jacob Fowler and found in the book Woodworkers Pattern Book. It is made from 1/2" solid Walnut with a 3/4" solid Walnut base and stands 15 1/2" tall.. Cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using Pegas #1R MGT blades. Dipped in Shellac diluted 50% with Denatured Alcohol and twp coats MinWax spray Lacquer Clear Satin. Sanding with a Mac Mop between coats. Comments welcome.
I finally finished two Dream Catchers, one with a Cardinal and the other Hummingbird. The dream catchers made from Ash and the feathers Walnut and Maple. The Hummingbird is Cherry and the Cardinal from various hardwoods. The finish is a coat of spray Shellac as a sealer and two coats MinWax spray Lacquer Clear Satin.
A pattern by Sue Mey. Finished two different ways. One is framed with a Birdseye Frame and the other backed with 3/8" Baltic Birch plywood stained black. Stack cut 1/8" BB plywood on a Pegas Scroll Saw using Pegas #1R MGT and #1 Spiral blades. The MGT blades on the lettering and the Spiral on everything else. Comments welcome.
