  3. Thanks Marg. I am trying my hardest Tony
  4. Thanks Gordon, but PRETTY PLEASE don't go there. Have been thinking about wood turning for a while and am really at a loss because I don't have the room for a lathe... unless I try small things on one of those micro machines Tony
  5. Thanks Spirithorse. Lots of love and a few thrown away in the process too. A few did break for me. Tony
  6. Thanks Dan. Am still trying to work on even more difficult and fiddly things to work on. Tony
  7. Nearly a year ago I got married to my partner and decided that I would cut a few things for our reception. Here is what I came up with... the Missus was very happy with the results I started off with this sign which sat atop something else but that will come later. I also cut our guest book obviously to the Missus specifications and also a sign to go along side it Finally after bashing my brains out thinking what the heck I could do for the guest place names, I didn't really want to use paper, I came up with the following. They were also given as gifts to each of our guests to take home with them and very much appreciated. Having to cut almost 60 of these took a bit of time but seeing our guests faces when they realized they got to keep them was worth the effort put into it As usual everything was cut by hand using my fret saw. Thanks guys and have a good one. Tony
  8. Only one word for you Chuck... BEAUTIFUL Tony

  11. Great work... love the tiger Tony
  12. Very nice Kris. Not a very complex pattern but nonetheless very nice. What do you use to make your patterns as for about 30 minutes that is pretty good. It would have taken me longer as I ink all my patterns by hand. I reckon it would have taken me closer to 6 hours than 3 to cut that with my fret saw though. Great work mate. Tony

  21. Think I have to agree with Spirithorse here, it is such a beautiful cutting that I personally would treasure... but my eye was drawn to the grain and found it rather distracting. With that said you deserve a BIG well done for this - it IS beautiful. Tony
