    Exactly what kind of "puppet" are we talking about? Finger puppet? Hand puppet? Most finger puppets and hand puppets I have seen would not be made with wood. Then there is the "jointed" carpenter that is in the most recent SSWC Winter 2017 edition and two more on the website - a pirate http://scrollsawer.com/2017/09/06/articulated-pirate-ornament/ and an Angel http://scrollsawer.com/2017/09/06/jointed-angel-ornament/ that could be a marionette style "puppet" if you think of a puppet as the ones with strings attached to move their parts and pieces. Or is he thinking about a ventriloquist puppet? Or something else?

    That I understand Jim, bu it sounded like from your original post that you had already had the pattern previously - just couldn't find it so I assumed that you had either previously purchased it or gotten it from a magazine in the past. If you didn't have the pattern yourself previously, then yes, we would not want to "copy" a design we hadn't purchased.

    Jim, I don't know where you got the puzzle from but, if you have the puzzle you made or this image, you should be able to recreate the pattern yourself by tracing it or am I missing something?

    Beautiful and I am sure your wife is going to love it. Are you saving it for a gift like for Christmas, Birthday, Anniversary or is she getting it straight away just because you love her.

    Looks a bit like a Golden Retriever. Very nice work on it Ike and I am sure a treasure for your friends. I am sorry for their loss of their beloved pet. What font did you use? Also, I hope that your wife is still on the mend and doing good from her recent health scare.

    I sign my work - either with my branding iron or with a pen. If its very small, I just use my initials. I also date the piece. If it is an intarsia piece from a pattern someone else created, I also note on the back side who's pattern it was created from. I think if you have hand crafted something, you should sign your piece in some way so people know it was made by someone, not a machine.

    I tried the links provided in that list and some of them are no longer working. I didn't try them all, but I did try Mike Williams and got Page Not Found error, and tried Spittin Image one and got Failed to open Page. Maybe @Travis will find some time to check and fix any not working and perhaps update the list if we have added any new ones not listed there. If you are interested in Intarsia work - Travis' list doesn't have those listed. There are several well known artists with great patterns.     Excellent work by a great "surgeon" - I agree looks much better with those new and improved feet. I've been having problems with my feet - perhaps I need to get that done.
