  1. and another beautiful job that will be loved by the bride and the groom. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Nice work as always Monti. Did you get the olive wood somewhat local to you or did you get it shipped in from somewhere?
  3. No info. on how thick to make or how to finish them as I haven't tried them yet, however as a woman, who wears earrings, I wanted to throw out that you do want them on the "light" weight side. Most women I know do not like "heavy" earrings. I have seen some patterns for wooden earrings and for me, they looked to big and bulky and like they would weigh a lot. Now that said, I also don't like big and bulky earrings but many women do - but even when they are big and bulky looking - they need to be as light weight as possible. Otherwise, they can start to hurt your ears after a while.
  4. First Dick, congratlions to you and your wife on soon to be 56 years together, I am sure you both do a lot of give and take over the years. Looks like you have made good use of your limited the shop on these two pieces. Excellent work. Thanks for sharing.
  5. You have definitely been busy. I recognize several of those pieces from the most recent edition of SSWC magazine as well as on my to try list. Thanks for sharing photos. I like to see the same project(s) done by several folks to see how the different wood choice, approaches, etc. Thanks for sharing.

  11. What a beautiful project and wonderful tribute in loving memory of your beloved mother and touching tribute and thanks to the hospice care. I am sure it will be a great hit and hopefully brings in good money for them.
  12. Well, not a complete waste since you did sell 11 puzzles and you checked it out and realized not worth your time in the future. So now, you won't need to "wonder" and can hold off on that RV purchase.
  13. I'm with Dan, make enough to make two finished pieces so you each get one. I look forward to hearing and seeing more as your progress. Inlay is on my list of wanting to learn how to do. My plan is to get hubby to show me how - which means if he doesn't know how yet, he gets to learn it first and then teach me.
  14. Welcome back to the Village. Look forward to your participation.
  15. Beautiful work. Love those signs. Maybe one day I will feel brave enough to try one. Can only hope if and when I try they look half as good as yours. Thanks for sharing.
  16. Whew - had me a tad worried there Kevin with the title of your post. Glad you were able to fix your saw. I love that Peace Nativity you did. Excellent work all around.
  17. But you did a great job on those Iggy. Perhaps you just need to tell them that to get one cost $50 - $100 and due to their "complexity" and see if they are willing to buy. Make them pay up front of course. I still haven't been willing to tackle the Goldendoodles I got.
  18. Good luck Iggy. Look forward to seeing how it goes for you.
  19. Welcome from another East Tennessean. What part of East TN are you in? I am in the Knoxville area. Several others here like Denny from East TN and other parts of TN as you can see. Lots of good scroll saws out there to be had. Some of the better ones can sometimes be found being sold used on Craigslist if you don't want to spend to get a new one. Look forward to your participation here.
  20. Another Tennessee welcome. Glad you joined us. Look forward to your participation here.
  21. Another Tennessee welcome to the. I'll age. You have gotten a great saw there. I look forward to seeing what you are doing with it and having you participate here on the forums.
  22. Hi Edward. Glad to see you get a few minutes to check in. Sorry to hear about your back. It's a real pain for sure - especially when you have so much more you would rather be doing. Hope you get better soon and look forward to seeing some pictures of your show. Good luck with that.
  23. I know what they are. I think most people do a lot of their reading on line when reading anymore. I still read some magazines but not the one that Rolf and Tony reference but I heard that most who did, read it for the amazing articles they had.
  24. Another Tennessee welcome Kenny. Glad you found us and decided to join in. Since I don't do Facebook I'm glad you have decided to join us here as well. I look forward to your participation and seeing some of your great work.
  25. Jim, I have looked, googled, etc. and haven't found that pattern anywhere online. I don't remember seeing it before but maybe someone else will eventually.
