Another Tennessee welcome from another relative newbie. I joined the forum and started using the saw just a little over a year ago. I found everyone here so helpful and kind and willing to help each other out with questions - even us newbies. Glad you joined us. Look forward to your participation.
  7. Welcome to the village Roland. Look forward to your participation here. You mentioned you were inspired by a JGR video of her shop. Have you had the opportunity yet to come and visit her shop? If not, and you are ever in the East TN/Smokies area it is well worth planning a visit to her shop to see it in person. It is truly awe inspiring for sure.
  8. another Tennessee welcome. Excellent work you have shown there. Glad to have you join the family here on the forum. Look forward to your participation.
  9. Welcome and glad you decided to join in. Look forward to your participation and glad you are getting back to the scroll saw after so many years.
  10. Another welcome to the Village from a northern neighbor. My son is presently attending UGA in Athens. Home for the summer, but will return in less then a month to start his 3rd year. Look forward to your participation and sharing. Forgot to say - thank you for your service.
  11. Hobby Lobby, Michaels, AC Moore, Jo Ann's - any of the "craft stores" that sell paper crafting/scrapbooking supplies carry large quantities and colors of card stock. You can find it in 81/2" x 11", 12x12", and smaller as well. Many a Walmart and Target also sells paper crafting/scrapbooking supplies but their selection is not as wide.
  12. Glad its on its way. Send Santa this way Look forward to hearing about your adventures with it.
  13. Nice work Monti - I am always in awe of the fine lettering so many of you do here. One day perhaps.
  14. I like it - like the dimension. Thanks for showing.
  15. Nice work on that Mimi and i can see why the customer was pleased. I am sure her husband will be as well. Thanks for showing the final product and sharing the details on how you did it, blade used, etc.
  16. Sorry it wasn't a good sales day for you Tony. Maybe you can add some beer stein and pretzel puzzles to the mix to attract the Pub crowd.
  17. Excellent work and I am sure the teachers will love them and those who don't get them will be jealous. Marg, that is a great way to ensure your grandkids are well taken care of by teachers. Glad you are going to take care of the one who missed out. I too like the addition of your stamp. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Very nice work Scott. We have been to Captiva Island. Went about 9 years ago this coming Fall with all of my husband's family for his mother's 80th birthday. Thanks for showing. Sometimes it can take forever and a day for someone to followup no something like this so its possible when you least expect it, the Zoo and the Rescue group still might come back calling perhaps.
  19. Pretty soon, you are going to have a field full of them! These look great and sure to bring some "sun" into anyone's day. Thanks for sharing.

  25. Sounds like you continue to do well Scott. I am glad so many people are appreciating your work and talent in cutting them. Nothing like having people buy your work for affirmation of your time and talent well spent. Thanks for keeping us up to date on how its going but shhhhh - now my husband wants to know when I'm going to sell some! (He was looking over my shoulder at your post. )
