  1. What a beautiful loving gift and tribute to your parents and their marriage. I know they will be honored to receive this special gift you have put hours of work into creating. Thank you for sharing your photo with us.
  2. All beautiful pieces you have cut. Would make great gifts this holiday season. I too like the a merry Christmas plaque. Thank you for sharing photos of your projects.
  3. Great looking cutting on both Jerry. Love the rose trivet and am sure your MIL will too. I look forward to seeing the gear clock when you have it put together. Thanks for sharing your photos.
  4. I am too new to offer too much in way of how to handle pattern lifting off. Others may have suggestions for you. I assume trying something else might be in order. I have had good luck using a Xyron machine with repositionable adhesive cartridges. If you have someone in the family who does paper crafting or scrap booking you may have one in the house already. If not, they can be bought at local stores who sell those types of products usually (and can often use a coupon on) or can be bought via Amazon. Love this pattern, its message and its beauty. You did an excellent job with it and I don't see any real flaw with it. Thanks for sharing your photo.
  5. What a beautiful piece of artwork you have created. I hope that it will bring in lots of funds for the mental health charity you are donating it to. I know they will be thrilled to receive it. Thanks for sharing your journey and the photo of your project.
  6. What a beautiful heirloom you have created for this young lady. It is the scroll saw pieces that make it. thanks for sharing your photos.
  7. Those look great as usual Denny. Congratulations on selling out the bird houses and needing to restock the tree.
  8. Love it. Had never seen or heard that one before. Maybe I need to talk to myself more then.
  9. Glad you figured it out Kevin and it was something simple. That's why when computer tech people always start with the simplest things (even though people get upset - Duh - YES, its plugged in) - so often it really is something simple (you would be surprised how often it ISN'T plugged in ) Look forward to seeing your photos of your work again.
  10. Looks like you did great work with Steve's pattern John. Thanks for sharing the finished piece.
  11. Looks awesome and very complicated. Glad you were able to stick with it and get it done. Now hang it up and admire your hard work. Thanks for sharing.
  12. Looks great Randy. Great way to anchor the eye. I am sure your Cubbie Pastor friend will love it. Great gift for him to commemorate the big win. Thanks for showing your finished piece.
  13. Travis - just to clarify and make sure, you have debinoz listed twice (#3 and #8) and you don't list hers as submitted but post above your last update says she sent them to you Fri night/Sat.
  14. Welcome Doc from the foothills of the Smokey Mountains in East TN. Good to have you join us. Thank you to your father and yourself for your service and sacrifice to our country. Sounds like you continued that with your Fire work. You have been doing different woodworking for a long time now and we look forward to seeing pictures of your work. Glad you still have your dad to work with and maybe set up shop with when your retire!
  15. Congratulations Dan. Sounds like they are definitely a high demand $ item. Glad they did so well for you.
  16. I understand - I can't even imagine trying to do any of them as small as you do anyway! Are there other logos OK uses that would work for cutting a coin? I am sure whatever you did to commemorate his love of the Sooners would make your Dad happy!
  17. Sorry the sale didn't go as well as had hoped for your daughter. Maybe the warm weather we keep having kept many away and those who were couldn't imagine how close we really are to Christmas and needing gifts for it! Their loss!
  18. What a wonderful piece of art you have created for someone's grandpa Jerry. Is this a gift for someone or one you plan to sell? Either way, someone is going to love it. So glad to see that you got your son interested and involved. I am sure he will learn well with a teacher like you (as long as he's willing to listen to his dad.) Him actually trying it is good to see that it really isn't as easy as he thought it might be just seeing you do it. Glad he enjoyed it and tell him we look forward to seeing his work soon! Thanks for sharing your photos.
  19. More great work by you and your wife Bobby. Looks like you make an excellent team working on these projects. Glad she is enjoying helping you out. Thanks for sharing your photos. I like them all - but I'm thinking I know some people who would love Chachi's hiding from stupid people sign.
  20. Glad you were able to get your photos finally downloaded Kevin, even if it was the long way. thanks for sharing them. Looks like you did another bang-up job and I can see why he was willing to trade you the bandsaw for your work. Glad you were then able to pay it forward to someone else in your area.
  21. Wow, great to hear for you Iggy. Glad you had a great sell and made some contacts that might get you more work if that is what you are after. Keep it up and you may have to commission some of your fellow scrollers here to do "piece work" for you. Not surprised, your work is outstanding and definitely work that appeals to the animal lovers. Let the Aquarium know that you have been approached by someone at a Zoo, that might help you get their notice as well. Nobody wants to miss the next great thing! thanks for sharing an update with us. Good luck.( Guess that fat finger didn't bother the person who bought the one you wanted to fix! )
  22. Nice job to commemorate 108 years worth of waiting and hoping for the Cubbies and their fans. I think unless you were an Indians fan, you were pulling for the Cubs to pull this out. Great game and series. Thanks for sharing your photo.

    Chipmunk

Thanks for taking time to do post the photo and then the slide show of your work in progress. Great work on that chipmunk. I look forward to seeing what you do in finishing off the piece.
  24. Thanks for sharing your photos. I like the cross. Its nice to be able to look back at our early projects and see the advancement in our skill set. You can see yours was good and continues to improve. I guess your issue is one that is good to have, especially if you like the extra income. Guess the best way to handle is to decide which is more important to you - working on personal projects or the extra income. Another way to handle is to price your work higher then you have been, will cut down some on the "orders" perhaps and give you more time to do your own projects. If they really want your work , they will pay the higher price though and give you more $ earned for less projects perhaps. Only you can decide what you want to do. Good luck!
  25. While small images that I couldn't get to load to show bigger, I used the Zoom on my computer to zoom in some more on your post. The cuttings look nice and I am sure the projects will be loved by the recipients. thanks for taking the time to take and share your photos.
