  6. Looks Nice Dan. Sure many Cubbie fans would love one. I don't have a dog in the fight but I figure that since its been much longer since the cubbies won then the Indians, nod should go to the Cubbies on this one!
  7. Beautiful piece of artwork Helmut. I am in awe of your work and designs. Thanks for showing us how they look cut and lit up.
  8. You know what they say about a happy wife and yours is no doubt happy times 3! Excellent work all the way around. thanks for sharing.
  9. Beautiful pieces of artwork Dan. thanks for sharing your pictures. I have Russell's Peace pattern to try "someday" I really like how you made it a "mantle" piece. Will have to remember that. I like the Sue Mey pattern too. I hadn't seen that - I am impatiently awaiting my copy that I ordered for my "free" one to subscribe back at the first part of the month. I really hope it comes soon!
  10. Sorry Rocky, I can't help but hopefully someone here can or you will hear back soon.
  11. Beautiful craftsmanship for sure! thanks for sharing.
  12. Hi Peter and welcome to the village from East TN and a relative newbie to the saw and the village. I look forward to seeing some of your work as you find time to join in and share here on the forum.
  13. Hello Valerie and welcome to the Village. I think you will find a lot of helpful and wonderful people here in the village to share your scroll saw adventures with. I am so sorry for the loss of your two sons. As a mother of a daughter and a son, I can only imagine how horrible and difficult that would be for anyone to lose one child, much less two. I will pray that you can find solace in the happy times you had with your boys and know that your daughters are here for you as you all deal with the losses you have had in your family. It was very kind of your ex husband to get you a scroll saw to help you deal with your loss. Sounds like you two have a good working relationship still. That is great. I lost my mom back in April after a battle with Alzheimers. She was only 77. I started working with the scroll saw to do Intarsia work shortly thereafter. I was a newbie to the saw and to Intarsia but have found that I enjoy it and it helps me when I am feeling down about the loss of my mom. It requires me to "focus" in on the task at hand. I pray that you can find comfort as you explore this new art form. We love to see pictures here in the village (and I have been remiss in posting many myself lately). So please, show us what you are doing now with your scroll saw and the yard work that you did/do with your jig saw. God Bless.
  14. More great work! thanks for sharing.
  15. Beautiful art work there. Thanks for sharing. Hope you win!
  16. Wanted to note that Skip originally made request for this item in the Pattern Requests area of the forum. Russell, Birchbark, created it and shared it in that thread and it can be found here: http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/topic/21433-something-new/ Thanks for Identifying the actual item as being from the Elder Scrolls video game Skyrim. I know that my college age son has that game - but - that was the extent of my knowledge. I will download both and maybe make him something for Christmas if I get the chance. Might make me cool for knowing too. Thanks Skip for sharing your cut project and Russell for adding the Quest Marker file here as well.
  17. Great start there Bobby. Like you, I like Snoopy. We had a dog that looked like Snoopy when I was a very little girl. We of course named him Snoopy. I am rather partial to that Big Orange T sled as well. Those other two you show - not so much. But I realize that you have to appeal to all kinds. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Very nice Jerry. Always good to have a spot for finding the keys. (Works too, IF people put them there. )
  19. Hey Denny, I think Rolf is a big Hawk advocate. Maybe pm him and get some insight if you need to know "quickly".
  20. Thanks for sharing.
  21. it looks good Casey. Always good to have friends who can give you scraps for your hobby! Look forward to seeing what else you might do with it. Thanks for sharing.
  22. Interesting isn't it what you can do with two simple words and a scroll saw. Thanks for sharing.
  23. Another great project you have done there Rob. I have seen that one and downloaded the pattern for the "someday" pile. Need to get better with lettering first I am afraid!
