  1. I agree, the red paint speaks Christmas but I like seeing the wood grain on the other with the stain. It really would be a "personal" choice. If looking to sell, I would make both ways.
  2. Put me in the camp that while eyes may enhance the project, these appear to be too big. Plus, like others I think eyes you create by another means would be better.
  3. More beautiful work that the recipients are going to love. Thanks for sharing your photo.
  4. More beautiful cutting Randy. I am in awe of the intricate cuts you can make with coins. I love the horses "floating" even if my mind does not grasp how it works. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Sorry, no answers for you but just wanted to say I really like your clocks. They are beautiful work. Hope you can find the inserts you need.
  6. Beautiful pieces of artwork that anyone would love to own. thanks for sharing your photos.
  7. Sorry to hear that you will have to wait until April to see how your items are received but sounds like it is for the best. Hopefully Matthew will lose his punch more then the anticipate and will move further out to sea sooner then later. I pray for all in his path. Good luck with your next event in a couple of weeks. You are right, everyone loves to see their dog breed when they see things with dogs.

    Eagle

A beautiful piece of artwork. There is just something about an Eagle isn't there. Thanks for sharing.
  9. I thought I had commented on this - guess I failed to do so. I am in awe of the work and detail you have in this piece of work and that you made the pattern from a painting. A definite piece of art. Thanks for sharing.
  10. I will just say THANKS for answering the Vols call after your Bulldog. You know I think he is great. Thanks for showing.
  11. That is a stunning piece of artwork and I am sure your Daughter would love to have it. It would be a cherished family heirloom no doubt. I can't imagine the time and effort you have put into all the detail there. Thanks for sharing your photos.
  12. Those are beautiful pieces John. Thanks for sharing your photos.
  13. I was fortunate enough to have a DH who is a hobby woodworker with a workshop that already had my scroll saw in it. He has a dust collection system with piping to/from each piece of equipment including the scroll saws. We added to it when we set up my sanding station with the flexible drum sanders. Then he has one of those air filtration systems up on the ceiling (that I seem to forget to turn on most of the time. ) Like Scott, I also always wear a good dust mask made for fine dust. If you can setup a good dust collection system at your sanding station that would be good.
  14. Welcome from another Tennesseean. Glad you have joined us here on the forum. If you can't find a stand for your saw - I have seen some plans where you can build your own. Probably easily found if you do a google type search for them. Course, that might necessitate adding to your list of tools if you don't already have other woodworking tools. I am a relative newbie to the saw myself. I look forward to learning together from the great members here on the forum.
  15. More great work Kevin. you have definitely been staying busy lately. Thanks for showing these.
  16. Lots of great work there Kevin. I am sure all the final recipients love getting your work projects. Thanks for sharing.
  17. Beautiful piece of work that I am sure your friend loved. thanks for sharing.
  18. Beautiful pieces of art that are sure to be well loved by any recipients. Wow - 65 of them so far - I can imagine how many people you have blessed with your work and sharing the faith. Thanks for showing them to us.
  19. Another great finished piece Monti. Lots of intricate cutting done quite well in this piece of art. thanks for showing your photos. I love seeing the intricacy of projects like these.
  20. Monti - glad to see your choice for keeping the wood grain showing prevailed over Daughter's recommendation to paint. It is even more beautiful piece with the finish applied. Thanks for sharing a followup photo.
  21. Congratulations Dick. Money well spent. He was very cute. Perhaps you might have time to try another one for the show. At least you know what to start out with a price for him! Thanks for sharing.
  22. Beautiful work and sure to be well received with the personalization. Thanks for sharing your work. I hope to get some ornaments cut to give as gifts this year. (Maybe I should be out in the shop rather than here on the computer. But, I was offline pretty much the last 3 days and need to "catch up". Its an addiction I think.
  23. Great job by Russell on the patterns and your cutting of them. Thanks for sharing your work to date. I look forward to seeing the full 12 days!
  24. Thanks for taking time to show the work done with other's patterns that they have created. I know they appreciate seeing their work "completed". You have a lot of beautiful artwork you have created and hope that you had a good show and sale! Thanks for showing us photos of your work. As a newbie, I love being able to see what others can do with a scroll saw. Shows me how much work I have to do to even start to think I am competent with one! But gives me great inspiration.
  25. I continue to be in awe of your work on Coins Randy. Lovely work that I can't even imagine attempting with a saw on a coin! thanks for sharing. I am partial to the one on the top left.
