  1. Nice job and much more detailed piece then my first piece. definitely wasn’t trying lettering, still not a fan of lettering. I prefer to run and hide from letters.
  2. Another Tennessee welcome to the village. Look forward to your participation.
  3. Ray and Frank I think answered your questions for the most part. I wanted to add that it is proper to add the name of the pattern designer so people know who created it. Often, folks want to know who the pattern was made by because they are interested in perhaps locating it for themselves. By giving the name of the pattern designer, it gives them a starting point to look for it. However, if you can provide a direct link to the actual pattern, it makes it easier. Plus, it allows the pattern designer to be able to sell more patterns. Without the pattern designers, most of us would not be able to do the projects we do. So providing a link helps each other out and the pattern designers. Even if the pattern is provided for free, it’s helpful to know who designed it and where to find it.
  4. Another Tennessee welcome. Look forward to your participation here in the village.
  5. Both Congratulations to you and your lovely bride.
  6. Nice Denny. Sure to be well loved. After one of the last ones you made and painted I liked him so much I made one too. I gave him to my great niece for her first Christmas.
  7. Your fast, fast on the cutting, fast on the painting. Excellent work all around. Are these all for family? Special order? How did you paint them? Spray paint? Something else? Did you paint all sides?
  8. Well, not my cup of tea on multiple levels, but excellent cutting. Please keep him (or her) on your side of the pond though.
  9. Beautiful as always Brenda. Glad your time on your saw helps you pass the time in such a wonderful way.
  10. Nice work on all including your paint job. I downloaded that box pattern, perhaps one day I will actually get around to cutting it,
  11. I hope you get to go back soon, simply so he can find it and be thrilled with it as he will no doubt be. Nice job.
  12. Like everyone else, I have never heard of it. However, I suspect if I asked my gaming 24 year old son, he probably would understand and know of who and what you speak. However, just because I don’t know about the subject, does not mean I don’t recognize the detailed cutting you had to do to make this excellent piece that I am sure will be well received and loved by your grandson.
  13. Beautiful piece your friend will love. Glad you can get back to your saw. I hope it helps you as you process your loss of your friends.
  14. A beautiful box and I happen to like things like that made with red oak. I am sure your wife loves it.
  15. Nice job. Very cute, I am sure the recipient will love it. Always good to find wood to recycle (especially right now!
  16. Beautiful piece Dick and will be treasured no doubt. I am sorry for their need for Hospice but having used Hospice with several family members in different health battles over the years, I know what a true blessing Hospice care is to those who are ill as well as the family members walking that path with them.
  17. Beautiful work Dick and I am sure she will treasure it. Glad she has supported you over the years.
  18. Nice work and I am sure your MIL will treasure it and you have earned many. Brownie point with both your MIL as well as your wife.
  19. The detail and depth it adds is always outstanding in your work. You clearly have a gift and passion for doing detail patterns.
  20. Excellent looking piece as usual.
  21. Nice work Dan. I have a couple 1 year old great nieces and nephews. I should consider making them some for Christmas or their birthdays one year. I can hope ,one look 1/2 as good as yours or Dave’s.
  22. Beautiful work on both the pattern and cutting as usual Kris.
  23. Just to clarify, Iggy, Iguanadon, Scott, and woodcraftbyScott are all one and the same person @Iguanadon who sells the puzzle patterns by Harvey Bylar. you can find a variety of free puzzle patterns to download on the magazine, “Scrollsaw Woodworking & Crafts” website here: http://scrollsawer.com/?s=Puzzle i did a quick search for “puzzle” on their index page. Shows 12 pages to the search, not everything probably has an actual pattern to download, but I know several do so you will just have to check the ones that interest you and see if pattern is there. Sometimes they offer them as additional bonus to ones in the print magazine.
  24. For me, on a quick glance (while riding in the car), I feel the bottom 2 lines are too far to the right and too much open space on the left. I would move the left dove over some towards the left side, and then move those two lines to be more centered. I would also probably put the book, chapter and verse over on the right side “after” the verse.
  25. Another Tennessee welcome. Look forward to your participation.
