  1. Awesome work. Yes, I miss seeing Les and his posts and replies.
  2. For anyone looking for it on his blog, this is a direct link to when he posted it back in Oct. 2017. https://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/2017/10/halloween-scroll-saw-pattern.html For those who love Halloween decorations, Steve hAs a LOT of Halloween projects from over the years. You can do a search for Halloween to find most all of them.
  3. Awesome pattern and cutting. While I love the looks of these, my patience level is not there to do one I am afraid. I will admire those cut by those who do.
  4. Michele will be quite happy to receive your excellent project I am sure.
  5. Welcome back Len. It’s good to see you. Sorry you have had issues but sounds like you figured things out and are on the right path to getting your life back on track and getting back to your hobbies. Hope you can find something where you can setup shop again soon.
  6. Yep,noticed that too.
  7. You always seem to create some fun projects when you are playing around in the shop.
  8. What I thought too when I got my copy this weekend and I saw it. I thought about dropping them a line to say you missed listing the forum and other social media sites for the Village. Guess we’ll just keep it a top secret.
  9. Very nice and should make for some very happy recipients. I look forward to seeing the finished Jim Blume pattern to complete the collection. Did you stack cut these so you had one of each to keep, maybe one to sell as well?
  10. Excellent work Pete. I would suspect they will again be hot sellers for you.
  11. Welcome to the village Eric from across the pond in the state of Tennessee and the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains.
  12. Nice work Kevin. Hope they appreciate you and your work at those stores.
  13. I have a sister and an Aunt who I know would disagree with you about the ocean.
  14. I agree with Paul. It is a stunning piece that I know took a lot of time and great patience on your part. I’m glad you were able to get the pattern sorted and the wood you needed. Will you be keeping it?
  15. Wish my lettering looked that good Kevin. Glad to see you back and sharing some.
  16. I loved this pattern when Jim shared it. You did excellent work cutting him out.
  17. Should be another excellent project when you are done. I know your son will love it when he gets it at Christmas. I look forward to seeing the final completed project.
  18. Dick, this is a beautiful piece, but it would not be quick and easy or relaxing for me as you have said it was for you. That is a nod to your excellent skills in front of the saw. I’m sorry to hear Sharon took a tumble. I’m happy to hear while it was bad enough, it was not as bad as it could have been. Glad to hear she is on the mend and you are playing your role of doting husband admirably. I hope she enjoys seeing her beautiful piece you have crafted special for her. Prayers said that she continues to heal well and quickly before that company comes.
  19. Beautiful sign and glad you got it done before you encountered your heart troubles. Sometimes we seem to do these things like that. I wonder if we sometimes have a sixth sense of sorts. I am sure your future DIL loves it and you for doing it.
  20. Nice to see you cutting and posting Randy. You’ve been missed. Nice job wish I was that rusty to cut that small of detail.
  21. @Foxfold, Brenda as shown above there are actually lots of items known as a “light box.” There is the type you show, then there is the “light box” used in photography like these on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=light+box+photography&crid=3DEB3B1PWFMTI&sprefix=Light+box%2Caps%2C211&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_2_9 and there are these that are used for tracing images https://www.amazon.com/s?k=light+box+for+tracing&crid=3Q4D36NVKP1M3&sprefix=light+box%2Caps%2C215&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_4_9 and then there is a “light box” used to help depression or seasonal affective disorder (SAD) like shown here: https://www.verywellhealth.com/what-is-light-box-therapy-3015255 then the OP said he needed a pattern for a light box that is 4” x 3ft x 4 ft. Which is pretty big box thus the confusion on what he wanted help with. Given the size he indicated, I don’t think it’s the type you have shown. Usually those are made to sit on a table top aren’t they? Given his requested size, the only one of these that would make sense that big is the light box used to take photos. However, without @Uncle Ricky giving us more details, everyone is making a guess as to what he in fact needed. I do love those table top lantern style light boxes you have shown. Have you made any? I have some I would like to make someday.
  22. Another Tennessee welcome. Look forward to your participation.
  23. I've made the same one as Denny shown above. I also have some other plans for some others like a train. Most, if not all of the ones I have were also by Paul Meisel. A few of them have been in the SSWC Magazine over the years and is where I got some of them. You can go to the Magazine's Article Index page and search for him by name. He is in 20 different magazines looks like. Not all of them will be the coin banks and I am not sure how many of them are http://scrollsawer.com/article-index/ and here is link to his website showing a lot of different coin banks he has available. https://www.meiselwoodhobby.com/Products/ViewCategory.aspx?ID=2993&Path=53 Scrolleronline also has several coin banks http://www.scrolleronline.com/category/s?keyword=bank
  24. Clearly my husband learned at the same school you did. He also is fond of this saying as well. He likes to say, he’s the fund raiser and I’m the appropriator. ( meaning I decide where it goes.) yep, I would think you are probably right. Wrong Tone and sarcasm tend to negate the meaning.
  25. Ray, if you have been married 52 years,, you should know this by now, but let me clarify it for you, the wife is always right, if you think otherwise, YOU are the one mistaken, We have only been married 36 years but my husband learned early and is quick to tell anyone we know getting married, “happy wife, happy life” so just learn to say “yes dear” (unless she says does this make me look fat, then it’s your beautiful dear. )
