  12. Every right to be happy with this one Bill. Excellent work on cutting. Thanks for showing. I forgot to take pictures of what I did for Christmas gifts which is why I haven't shown anything lately.
  13. Hy Danny - there have been some fairly recent conversations on smaller drill options for drilling starter holes. I will see if I can find them and link to them here. One option is the one from Seyco found here: https://www.seyco.com/scrollers-drill/ - but its not cheap by any means ($119) Some have indicated that they use a dremel tool with a base - (there are different bases that can be bought and used) Like here: https://www.amazon.com/Milescraft-1097-Stand-Drill-Rotary/dp/B0001GMENE/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1F7BQYYS7LG1E&keywords=dremel+drill+press+rotary+tool+workstation+stand&qid=1581451147&s=hi&sprefix=dremel+dril%2Ctools%2C-1&sr=1-5 Funny, we have a dremel tool setup with a base to use, and I recently got the upgraded Seyco option and also use DH's table top drill press. I keep breaking the bits in my Seyco drill. I am sure it is me - just haven't figured out what I am doing wrong. Edited to add: Here are a couple links to a few of those prior conversations: https://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forums/topic/34979-dremel-question/page/2/#comments https://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forums/topic/36716-small-drill-bits/#comment-405942 and https://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forums/topic/35987-seyco-drill-any-one-use-one-have-one/?tab=comments#comment-398478 I'm sure there are more. These were just some of the first ones that popped up when I did a quick search.
  14. Jim, we tend to be are own worst critic. I think it looks fine from what I can see. I believe you have indicated that you are just getting started trying Intarsia. I started with a few much simpler designs and don’t believe I would show pics of mine I promise, you have done better. I do have them to recall where I started. Keeping working with it, you will find that you learn something new with each one.
  15. Nice work Jim and I have no doubt it will be a great treasure for her, especially since you made it. Congratulations to you and your wife, and all the others who have shared that they have also reached 50 or more years of wedded bliss or are close. That is a great milestone. DH and I will celebrate 35 this year so we are only 15 years away.
  16. Welcome to the village Sonja from Eastern Tennessee in the USA. Glad you found us. Looks like you have upgraded to what is considered one of the top of the line saws. You are doing great as your pictures show. Look forward to your participation.
  17. Nice work and congratulations to the Chiefs. I didn't really care who won, but was glad to see Andy Reid finally get a Super Bowl win.
  18. or keeping an eye on the cat down on the ground.
  19. Another Tennessee welcome to the village. Thanks for showing some of your work. Both look good. Kind of you to make the cali sign for your friend and mentor.
  20. Wow that is looking beautiful Ray. That is how it works isn't it, you gotta spend a lot of time and effort on a project like this to figure out how to do it better and easier the next time but wonder if you will ever want to do another one by the time you get it finished!

  22. Nice work on the puzzles Denny and I too like the addition of the backer before shrink wrapping. Thanks for sharing.
  23. Nice work. Good to see you back and sharing some of your work. Thanks for showing.
  24. Judy has some larger ones in her studio, but I never saw her have to add air to them. They are on my “maybe one day list.”
  25. Ray and Les, are you talking about the “flex drum sanders” the OP was referring to or the pneumatic drum sander? I am going to assume you are talking about the pneumatic one since the flex ones are not inflated - they are simply a dense foam core with sandpaper wrapped on them. Regarding the pneumatic ones, the ones that I am aware of have a “rubber type” bladder that you can add air to. The ones I have are small ones, like these for the Foredom from Judy Gale Roberts site: https://intarsia.com/collections/hardware/products/kirges-inflatable-sanders?variant=27764085830 and the Guinevere Sanding ones. if you go to the link at Judy’s site, you will see they come with a small hand pump. She also provides a link to this video from King Arthur’s Tools and their Guinevere setup and how to fill them. I don’t (yet )have a bigger pneumatic sander, but believe they are filled similarly.
