  1. Seems to work well but seemed weird to me.
  2. I just replenished my BLO with a new gallon each of Mineral Spirits and boiled linseed oil. I was using it to apply to some oak name plaques. For some reason the mixture turned white. That has never happened before. I shook the mixture turning it milky and used it. Very quickly it separated as shown in the photo. It seemed to work well but leaves me curious. This happen to anyone else in the Village?
  3. Out of curiosity what size is your Hegner and what size did you make the new table?

    DC-3

Great picture and cutting. I remember riding them. They make dust collections silent compared to those DC3's.

  6. HOLY SMOKES, that is beautiful!
  7. Those are beautiful! How do you do the relief?

  9. That's some very nice cutting you've done.
  10. Very nice work. I like the wood. I'll have to check out Lowe's for their whiteboard.
  11. Good job. You did well!
  12. Even fighting the spirals it appears you won the fight handily!
  13. OUCH! :>)
  14. Did not know there was white Masonite. I may check that out. I would not mind a bit larger tables on my saws.
  15. Hearing protection does wonders to to quiet things down. Biggest thing is to get protection that is comfortable.
  16. I have Winnipeg along with several ND cities on my weather app. I like to compare back home with Colorado. Central and Eastern ND had unbelievable snowfall amounts which will be devastating to many farmers as much of the crops are still in the fields and are mostly ruined. Could be lots of bankruptcies.
  17. Thank you epson! It becomes perfectly clear. I thought I saw what were 2 appendages but could not wrap my head around how they worked. Many thanks for your clarification.
  18. The great thing is you're trying. Do not get discouraged. Perhaps start with pine which is a lot softer and easier to cut. Getting hooked is real easy and feel free to ask lots of questions. Lot's of people here happy to give you help.
  19. Welcome Bob from Colorado. You've found a great place to land. Make yourself right at home!
  20. You are creative Kevin! Ideas seem to roll right out of your head. Really nice work.
  21. Dynamic! Never heard of quilling and I thought I knew everything. What a wonderful creation. That HAS to be a labor of love!
  22. Really a great job on some very nice pieces.
  23. Those are beautiful. Some ambitious cutting there.
  24. Very cool and very welcoming.
  25. I bought 2 packs of plastic tubes of 25 each. 49 are filled. When I started I was buying everything. I have 3 tube racks. Now I only use a small 10 tube rack with 2 empty holes. The other 8 are for my pegas blades. The rest are sitting back on a shelf. When I bought the second Hegner it came with a lot of blades in 2 storage boxes. The blades are huge. Had to be good for cutting fence posts.
