The crown is so slight. Lower case letters are ok, it is the caps that rock. I'll have to make a trip to ACE. It's only four blocks away.

I guess it would not hurt if both sides had a round over.

I can't do that as I've already run the edges thru a round over bit.

DANGER! I used this new stuff on several oak board plaques. Just now trying to glue on letters I find nothing sticks. I put down painter's tape for alignment purposes but it will not stick. Scotch tape will not stick. Turning the board over which has no BLO the tape sticks very well. I'm done for today. I'm PO'd!

I am making several name plates from 1/2" x 4-1/2 x 18" Oak. After trying to glue letters on I discover a slight crown which means the letters will not lay flat. This means the glue will only adhere to the high point. I don't have a planer so I am thinking of using silicone as an adhesive. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Agreed! There has not been a real woodworking show in Denver for years. I attended one years ago and was mesmerized at all the wonderful demos. That is where I first saw a Hegner. The guy was demonstrating crossing out coins. I had not seen a scroll saw before. I think that was the last show here. Woodcraft has demos on weekends and offers various woodworking classes which are of course fee based.

It worked just fine but was a curiosity not having that happen before. I does mean I'll have to shake it to keep things in suspension.
