  1. I had that problem when I first started scrolling. I would cut 1" pine. The blade would cut very nicely then stop. Releasing pressure against the blade for a moment and the blade would cut again. Advice from this forum said I needed to use a skip tooth blade so the sawdust would discharge rather than plugging up the teeth. Problem solved for me.
  2. I always enjoy seeing your colorful projects.
  3. Very, very cool cutting on a great pattern.
  4. These are my grandchildren. Patterns courtesy of Mahendra. They will be Christmas gifts to my two daughters. Cut from 1/8" BB with a #1 Penguin Silver Reverse blade.
  5. Gorgeous! I understand why they are very popular.
  6. You've done a great job!
  7. That is a beautiful box and inlay John B! Way beyond my ability. I like it.
  8. Hermle makes one which is a mechanical clock. You can Google Hermle movements for a distributor. For a quartz movement I have no Idea.
  9. Great dream catcher! How thick is the wood you cut? I'm a bottom feeder and use a #1 penguin silver reverse blade on 1/8 or 1/4 BB. I don't break the blades I just bend them until they are useless. You did terrific!
  10. Love western art. Wyatt Earp will be the one left standing in your next piece. I'm anxiously waiting for that one!
  11. Even more beautiful than the cross is the sentiment behind it. Very nice thing you did Dick.
  12. A big welcome to the village! Glad to see you're getting the saw out and ready. This a great forum and I know you will enjoy it here.
  13. I don't sand the back of my blades as I have not had a problem making very tight turns but I do sand the right side which helps me cut straighter. On the #1 blade, because it is so small, I clamp the blade with sandpaper on the right side and a plain piece of wood on the left. I just run the saw and lightly pinch the two together. Only for about a second or two.
  14. Hi Brad. Just a few inches of 3/4 inch aluminum angle. No holes to drill on the Hawk, just a couple in the aluminum angle.
  15. I'm not lazy but... I cannot leave good things alone. When doing lots of clamping and un-clamping adjusting the lock line each time becomes irritating. I made a simple swing arm. This allows me to just swing the lock line away from the blade. It has a stop so it always swings back to it's original setting. Easy Peasy
  16. Those will make some lady happy.
  17. That is so cool!
  18. Love both patterns. Gonna Google Pangolin. First time I've heard of them.
  19. Always very impressive. Way to go Iggy!
  20. Very nice project. Enjoy seeing it.
  21. Terrific cutting. One day I'll try compound cutting. It looks so cool.
  22. Hi Gordon. Welcome the Village. You're gonna enjoy it here.
  23. I have a HF near me and go there lots of times. I'm supposed to walk so might as well walk the isles there. I have three of their number sets #1 to #60 but have never seen individual number sizes. I'll check there this week. I use HF drill bits all the time. Especially on my lathes and mill. Never had a problem. Thanks Brad.
  24. Dick, that looks really great!
  25. Stupendous! Really neat project. The teachers will love it!
