  1. Interesting video. Amazing what can be done on an antique scroll saw. I did subscribe as I am a mere mortal woodworker.
  2. Yes Hawks can cut up to two inches. However, and that's just me, I would seriously look at the PS Wood scroll saws I have not seem a more robust saw. A brand new out of the box 21inch saw, steel stand and quick change blades with free shipping is $799. I have no idea why it is not more popular but my friend has one. It is built more like an industrial machine and yet can produce the very finest work. If I were to replace my Hawk that would be my next purchase. JMHO
  3. Great Patterns and great cutting! Willie looks unhappy. Must be during an IRS thing.
  4. Absolutely elegant!
  5. Many thanks. I had not thought of them. According to GPS they are 1.1 miles from my house.
  6. Where are you guys buying your drill bits? I have bits #60 and smaller but need some slightly larger like #58 and #56. Wooden Teddy-bear dose not show drill bits.
  7. Great looking Lab. I had one years ago. Great dog.

That is a beautiful cutting and pattern.
  9. Great idea and it looks great.
  10. While searching google for miniature cannon plans I came across this site: www.getdrawings.com/civil-war-cannon-drawing Don't know why this does not show as a web address but if you cut and paste into the address line it does work. I downloaded the attached pattern from this site. I took it to Office Depot. They copied it turning it into red and enlarged 200 percent. The red is so much easier to see when cutting. The site has probably been posted before but there are lots of free drawings suitable for scrolling.
  11. Very good looking!
  12. Interesting they are in Langley, BC. My in-laws lived there.
  13. Beautiful. I'm sure they will be appreciated.
  14. I guess being busy is an understatement! Great cutting.
  15. Wow, those look great! Some worthwhile time in the shop.
  16. Really beautiful cutting. Painting the mistletoe is a great touch. Very nice!
  17. Very nice cuttings and patterns. They not only have a great grandpa but grandpa has two great granddaughters.
  18. Hi Innar. Welcome to the Village from Colorado. Glad to have you here. You will enjoy it here with lots of helpful people. BTW when I was in high school in the 1950's my first love was with a lovely blond Estonian girl. However my present wife of 55 years is a lovely Canadian who is half Swede and half Norwegian.
  19. I was cutting my grandson's portrait with a Penguin Silver Reverse #3 blade. Before this I cut a pattern with a Pegas MG #5 blade and was impressed with how well it tracked the line. Today I put in the PSR #3 and noticed it tried to drift. I remembered someone suggesting sanding the right side of the blade which I did. I was surprised at the difference it made. I was delighted because I really like the PSR blades. They cut very smoothly. I just attached 220 sandpaper to a piece of wood with spray adhesive. I placed it next to the blade and ran the saw for only a second or so. Worked like a charm.
  20. My blades arrived today. They were packed in a sturdy small box. I'n impressed since they could have use an envelope. Since they are from Canada I can live with eight days. Next time I will allow for the time.
  21. There were so many different blades I was not sure what I should order. Bear woods seemed easier to me.
  22. Wow Crupiea, those age great.
  23. Shari, they look great. I started cutting simple puzzles when I first started because I did not want to cut those squiggly practice things. I think puzzles teach you things like cutting curves and straight line. You are doing god.
