  1. Cool pets and excellent cutting!
  2. Excellent job on both!
  3. You did a gorgeous job of cutting a great pattern. Beautiful work!
  4. I wish there had been a way to keep track of my time. Besides scrolling there is time assembling. I would estimate 20 - 30 hours on both the scroll saw and table saw. That's just a WAG.
  5. I found several on "dafont."
  6. Only the Atmos is correct. The twins have no batteries.
  7. Both clocks are right twice a day!
  8. There was a font pattern sheet with the plans and I used the "G" on the first clock not thinking about a second clock. Now I'm trying to find a matching font. I've spent about 3 hours searching "dafont" with no success. I'll just keep looking.
  9. I also had the dust Deputy and the HD version. Although they worked I gave them away. In my very small shop they violated too much floor space.
  10. Got em' finished. Walnut and Maple. Final finish, Krylon or Rust-oleum, I forget clear gloss enamel. One for each of my girls but they can't get them before Christmas. Now for the next one. Just waiting for the lumber.
  11. Never tried it on mine.
  12. Nice to see you on the Village! Congratulations on your books.
  13. I'm starting the Rhinelander clock from The Art Factory. I've ordered Cherry and Walnut. The Cherry is for the 1/8" parts. I guess I had better go with something else.
  14. That's it. Thank you very much!
  15. I don't have the Critter but have read very good reports about it on the Village and it has good reviews. I have considered buying it but I have so few times I need it. But that should not mean I don't want one.
  16. What a gorgeous clock! What wood did you use, BB? Also is it stained or painted and who makes the pattern. Sorry for all the questions but that clock is special.
  17. See, I told you you did great! You've got start listening to uncle Les!
  18. I have a number of foot switches. Three were rehostat for speed controllers on my three watchmaker lathes. The motors had brushes and could be reversed. Those foot controllers drove me nuts. When consentrating on what I was doing my foot would get lazy and allow the rpms to drop. Very frustrating although the controllers were an industry standard for nearly ever. Perhaps it's just me bit I did not like it. I switched to HF router controllers and on/off foot switches.
  19. Hi Aberdeen. First of all welcome to the Village. Lots of friendly folks to give you advice. I'd give you some myself but what the heck do I know. Oh well, I'll give it a try. Please do not limit yourself to puzzles. After a few puzzles you may find you want to try something else. Any scroll saw can cut puzzles, even the most basic saws. A good saw will open a huge horizon of possibilities for your enjoyment. You should get lots of opinions here.
  20. Hi Tod, welcome to the Village. Lots of great people here for you to get to know!
  21. If it were near me I would grab it in a heartbeat!
  22. My wife is a PK. Her father was an evangelist and her brother was a missionary in Spain for 25 years building church congregations.
  23. Gorgeous cutting on a really nice pattern. Who is the designer? I'd love to cut that.
  24. I'll be one of the first ones there!
