  1. Makes me smile too. Good job.
  2. The pattern and cutting are excellent and frame looks terrific.
  3. That is very impressive.
  4. Must be why I always go in circles!
  5. Here is my offering to my Canadian sweetheart. A Steve Good pattern.
  6. WOW! Great looking box.
  7. Welcome from Colorado to the Village, a great place to be. I am fortunate to be the husband of a beautiful Canadian for 55 years. Love Kanuks.
  8. Hi Paul. I did find the 7" mac mops. I was so relieved. I have decided to order the sanding mops instead of the mac mops. The mac mops are 7" and the sanding mops are 6". My dust collector is mounted very close to the spindle on the lathe for pen turning and I don't want to move it. I only turn small items and have no desire to turn bowls. That is why I'm ordering the 6" sander. You had me fooled. I thought you must be a high roller. Anyway thanks to everyone for all the useful information. This is a great site!
  9. Perhaps I am missing something. When I looked at their website I saw the sanding mops but the mac mops were like $139 and were 10 inch. I thought that was interesting. I'll go back and look again. Perhaps I have only one oar in the water. Can happen you know.
  10. Good to hear Brad. Easy does it. Baby steps at first and you'll get along just fine.
  11. Thanks for the specifics. I tried to order earlier today but they had a temporary web ordering malfunction so I will hopefully complete an order tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion of the washers. I want something gentle.
  12. That really commands one's attention!
  13. Thanks Paul and Larry for the info. Since my pier will collapse before my ship comes in I will be getting the sanding mop rather than the mac mop. For the price of the mac mop I won't live long enough to justify the cost but the sanding mop will do everything I will need to do. I am currently using my Scotchbrite on my lathe as it has DC. That is how I would use the sanding mop.
  14. Thanks Paul. Do I need to get a special arbor or does it come with one? I think I remembered kits if my memory serves me correctly.
  15. Beautiful.
  16. Thank you for your response. Yes, the Klinspor sanding mop is what I meant. I just want to use it for removing the fuzz from my cuttings. I also want to use on my lathe as it is connected to dust collection. I know I need an arbor and need to know what mop I should use. I don't want something too aggressive.
  17. I really like the biker pattern. I sold my ride last June. At 79 I finally admitted I'd had enough fun.
  18. Not only beautiful but yes He did and still does.
  19. The time has come for me to break down and buy the Klingspor sander. I don't find Klingspor in the search department so I'll just ask again. Just what is it I need to purchase. I only want to purchase one. There seem to be a lot of options so I need to know just what I need.
  20. Dewalt OS. Works well. Have had it for many years. Mostly use with 220 grit.

    Hi!

Hi Renay. Welcome from Colorado. Tell us a little about yourself like where you live.
  22. You will find it smooth as silk even as crude as mine is.
  23. That's a good idea. I may never cut another circle. Making it was something to keep me occupied for awhile.
  24. Since the subject of cutting rounds came up I decided to cobble up a circle cutter for my HF 9" band saw. It is one of the most used tools in my shop with the exception of my scroll saw. This was about a four hour project using scrap wood some of which has been in the garage for perhaps 20 years. All tools except for the table saw are HF. Nothing is square and the components are not all the correct thickness but it works. There are many photos as I tried to show it step by step. It is crude but works beautifully. I don't know how to separate the photos with text so they are some what sequential. All paint sticks are courtesy Home Depot. Of course if anyone reports the theft I will certainly deny it. Questions gladly answered.
  25. Hi John, My photo are downsized. I was just thinking that they may be wasting band with for people not in the US and would be costly. I'm probably all wet but was just wondering
