  1. Thanks Ray. It is a HF bit so that is probably the answer.
  2. My router with a round-over bit burns my projects. My router is a small trim router housed in a cheap Rockler $49 router table. The project that was burned is approximately 5X3-1/2 inches and 1/2" thick Oak. I did the round-over in two stages. Fist was with the router cutting shallow, the a second a finishing pass. The router is either dull, the router does not spin fast enough or whatever. I moved the wood across the bit as fast as I could but the bit will only cut so fast. On straight pieces it is not so much of a problem but on the curve I can't guide the piece fast enough. Perhaps I will just redo it with Poplar.
  3. A very nice and worthwhile project!
  4. Is there such a thing as high quality MDF?
  5. That's really cool!
  6. Thanks, I just ordered the pattern.
  7. Where do you sell your patterns?
  8. Great looking work! Who is the designer of the last one?
  9. Very nice box! I can't tel from your photos but what kind of corner joints does it have? They look perfect.
  10. Many thanks for the explanation. Now it makes perfect sense. It has a 3D appearance. Your work always appears elegant! Good work.
  11. Thanks for the introduction Clem. Always nice to know who is visiting us as it helps to establish comradery. I think that is a word even if spell-check says no. My wife is Canadian and hails from Alberta and her sister lives in Abotsford, BC.
  12. Great! I don't understand what you did exactly. Is it one or several layers? How did you paint it? If you used a rattle can did you use frisket film? I really would like to understand how you do that beautiful work.
  13. Terrific! I love cats both big and small!
  14. Who are you and where do you live?
  15. looks like a fun pattern. I like the effect the stains have. Very nice!

  17. Hi Murky, welcome to the Village!
  18. Mine also. 10 minutes away.
  19. Ray, I have a 20" box fan which I used to use. I stopped because while it did collect some dust lots of dust would escape into the air before reaching the filter. Even with the fan close to the saw. I removed the blower hose and replaced it with suction line. If it were possible I could hang Wen dust collector from the ceiling. I physically am unable to do that. Easier to just exhale.
  20. Those are great videos. I've noticed on the Hegners lots of owners remove the arm that supports the hold down food. I've had the arm removed on both my Hegners. Unless using the foot the arm is just in the way.
  21. I'm getting more quotes. I have to retrieve my motor Monday and get the motor details of of it so I can shop it around. An electrician friend of mine thinks the quote is pretty close.
  22. Interesting and well done.
  23. Those are beautiful!
  24. Very nice Deny! They will be appreciated for years to come. A special thanks for always including details about your projects. I wish everyone would do so. Lots of nice projects posted and I usually try to comment. I usually bypass without further comment as after the initial viewing I lose interest. However, where details are provided it increases my interest and I often learn something. So Deny, thank you for your posts!
  25. Very, very cool. I like the design.
