  1. Beautiful work and thank you for the video!
  2. Very nice sentiments! That should get you some points.
  3. That is so cool!
  4. You done good! I have ruined projects and wondered, have I lost it? Then I have to cut something easy to convince myself that I had not.
  5. Terrific work! Thank you so much for the additional information. The effect is awesome.
  6. Great work. You've done a beautiful job.
  7. You did that very well!
  8. Dynamic pens for sure!
  9. You have produced a beautiful Urn!
  10. Love the finish on the flower. Looks like chocolate! Yummmmmmmmmmm!
  11. They do cut fine detail well. The price can't be beat and fuzzies are removed quickly with a flame. Don't know why these are not sold to the scrolling community as still another option. I still love my Pegas blades.
  12. Both are beautiful but I like the butterfly.
  13. Don't know for sure who the designer is but I loved the pattern.
  14. Every jewelry supply company sells them.
  15. Thought I'd start a new thread on small blades. Lots of good opinions. I have had these Pike blades for a long time used for cutting brass and steel. I ran accross them last night and tried them on the scroll saw today. Cutting 1/4" BB with no backer. They cut beautifully and are controllable at medium speeds. They are #2, not 2/0 but just #2 with 44 tpi. hey also seem to be a bit cheaper. I saw #2 at $22 per gross. The jeweler's blade sizes are designated differently than scrolling blades. They go from 8/0 with 84 tpi to #8 with 28 tpi. That's all I know about them. If anyone else has experience with these types of blades, join in.
  16. However, he lives in the UK and I thought it easier to directly contact Hegner in Germany where they are made.
  17. Great cutting. Love the pattern!
  18. Beautiful pieces! Do you make your own patterns? They are excellent.
  19. You've been busy. I like the dog. What will it be used for?
  20. Thanks. If that continues to hold I have four patio chairs that have lost their round inserts and can use that repair.
  21. Very nice cutting and mounting!
  22. I love Pegas MG blades! That being said I find this discussion very interesting. I like to cut lots of things like puzzles, toys and word art. I also like cutting portraits and other fretwork. I like Pegas MG blades because they are very sharp and cut quickly. However, when cutting fretwork I use 1/4" BB with a 3/16 Luan backer because #2/0 MG blades are super fast cutting. I slow the blade way down and still the blade can take off on its own quickly if I'm not careful. Cutting through 7/16" wood helps. Greater TPI helps. I tried a Polar 2/0 TPI 30.5 and I had to get rid of the backer and increase the saw speed considerably. What a difference in control but slow going. At least I can control things. I do find that they dull quickly.
  23. The Hegner is made in Germany. Would that not be an easier source?
  24. Looks great. You did an excellent job!
  25. Has your wife found out about this? How well does the epoxy stick to the UHMW? The stuff sure is slick and will slide nicely.
