  1. Almost a year ago I made 50 patterns: state symbols with borders for each state. Now I cut one of them - Ohio: 4 layers (3+background) 1/8 inch, project size is about 7,5 x 8 inches Video of making Ohio US state patterns
  2. My second 3D geometric project, consists of 50 pieces. Each piece is not large, so you can use scraps of wood to make it, project size is about 4 inches diameter, I used 1/8 inch birch plywood. Video of making project Pattern - https://alexscrollsaw.com
  3. I planned to make a cactus, but couldn't decide which type to make, so I decided to make a set. I also did it in such a way that it was possible to change their places: any cactus fits any pot. Project consists of 2 parts, you can take out cactus of a pot and change it. Approximate size is 3 x 6 inches each. Cactus consists of 2 layers, pot - 4 layers. 4. Excellent cutting! It is one of my favorite patterns
  5. I am interesting what instruments do you use for drilling holes for scroll saw projects. And show my new mini drill. There are differnt mini drills at Ebay and Amazon, but they are qite expensive, same as delivery to my location. I was looking for a small and cheap mini drill and found this one at Aliexpress (China store), btw is it popular in USA? Also it includes 0.8mm, 1mm and 1.2mm drills and costs just $5. It works from mobile charge block (not included). Advantages: small, cheap, usual drills suit for it, comfortable for thin materials. Disadvantages: on/off button on the wire, I think it would be more comfortable on body of drill; not ergonomic body (just a cylinder), dosnt suits if you need to make perfect perpendicular hole (as you hold it in a hand and measure by eye), max drill size is 1.2mm, one speed. Overall I am happy with the purchase and will continue to use this drill. Here is short video preview of this mini drill -
  6. I bought it just for $5 at Aliexpress (China store) - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006499218253.html Also it includes 0.8mm, 1mm and 1.2mm drills. It works from mobile charge block (not included). Very comfortable to use for thin materials (1/8-1/6 inches). Disadvantage - on/off button on the wire, I think it would be more comfortable on body of drill. I know there are many small drills at Ebay or Amazon, but they are qite expensive. Here is short review of this drill -
  7. Here are all parts (12 round connectors and 30 edges)
  8. Thanks, yes it is one more advantage of such patterns - you can make stack cutting
  9. It is mini drill, I will make separate video review
  10. Agree, I want to make set of such 3D geometric patterns and it could be unusual and eyecatching Christmas ornaments
  11. Finally I have an opportunity to cut new projects by new scroll saw - Proxxon DS 230. In general, if you have a choice and financial opportunity, then I would not recommend this scroll saw, but at the moment for me it has some advantages. Anyway here is my first project in 2 year - 3D sphere. I hope such patterns will be popular: it looks unusual and eye-catching, interesting to assemble, it could be made of scraps of wood (as each piece is not large) and it could be assembled without glue. I plan to make more 3D geometric patterns, so what do you think of this project and such patterns? Video of making 3D sphere Pattern - https://alexscrollsaw.com
  12. Baseball glove with ball. Truly speaking I have never held it in my hands and created this pattern by photos, I hope it turned out natural. Pattern - https://alexscrollsaw.com
  13. I have just 2 Easter patterns, so this year I decided to make a set. It contains 12 Easter Eggs patterns: 3 signs, 3 ornaments, 3 crosses and 3 animals. Also I added a stand (optional) Easter Egggs pattern
  14. Wow! Looks so natural
  15. Creating patterns of cars, motorcycles and other teechnic is more difficult - it is necessary to accurately depict different elements so that the overall image is recognizable and looks correct from a technical point of view. This was a challenge for me, as well as for scrollers who want to do this - there are a lot of straight lines and fragile areas. Btw pattern includes 2 sizes if you think it is too difficult. So here is my new motorcycle pattern C252 (includes 2 variants) and previous one C220. Which one do you like more? Pattern - https://alexscrollsaw.com
  16. Nice cutting, simple pattern but looks great!
  17. The idea was to combine Valentine's Day symbols ("Love you" sign, heart, rose, letter) and this is what came out Love Letter pattern
  18. Bear looks great
  19. My first pattern of 2024 and it is a scroll saw pattern of a scroll saw. I tried to make it detailed but not too diffiult. I recommend to use two types of wood or stains, three - if you want to make variant with cat (it is optional). Pattern - https://alexscrollsaw.com
  20. One more perfect cutting!
  21. Here is my new set of geometric patterns with spherical effect, each consists of 3 layers, size 7x7 inches, I recommend to use different types of wood or stains, it adds a good deapth effect with spherical geometry. The first layer is quite fragile, so it could be a challange. Patterns - https://alexscrollsaw.com
  22. I dont forget pet lovers, here is my latest pattern - Christmas paw. I made variant without sign, especially for those who dont like cut letters. Recommended size 7,5 x 8 inches (variant with sign) and 5,5 x 5,5 inches (paw). Next one will be for cat lovers. Pattern at https://alexscrollsaw.com
  23. One more Christmas countdown calendar, belt consists of 2 replaceable parts with digits. Also here is a short video preview to show how it works. Which one do you like more? I attached image with both calendars. Pattern - https://alexscrollsaw.com
  24. I like your variant, came out great!
