Scrappile I wanted to make it clear: this is my post more than a year ago. Alexandr quoted it and translated to russian and wrote that it is lie. I dont know who it is, at his profile country is russia. And after that hi asked me pattern for free. That is all you need to know about russians. I have nothing more to add.

Two years ago I made small layered geometric ornaments and got many positive feedbacks, people used them as Christmas tree decoration. So this year I made same style snowflakes, I think they will look nice at Christmas tree. Pattern - https://alexscrollsaw.com

Time to time I meet gnome projects and patterns, I dont know why they are popular, but I decided to make one too. There are many different gnome patterns I saw, but I think such 3D is the first one. Project could be assembled without gluing, with dowels. Project consist of 46 pieces and 2 dowels, recommended size: 3 x 6 x 5,5 inches. Pattern - https://alexscrollsaw.com

My new Halloween set. Each pattern consists of 3 layers, recommended to use stains or 2 types of wood, 1/8 inch. Approximate size of each pattern is 3,5 x 3,5 inches. I added ring for hanging - I think it is great variant for home or jard decoration for Halloween. Patterns at https://alexscrollsaw.com

Agree, but patterns includes names of states, so even someone will make all states, they cant be put in US border frame.
-
From time to time I met such projects as US states with their borders and symbols, but they were quite simple: just contours or not detailed. I thought it will be interesting to make such layered patterns in one style. But I doubted for a long time: this is a huge amount of work and I do not know how popular scrollsawing is in different states. After all I decided to do it - it was a real challange for me. Last two weeks I was working non stop to be in time for the Midwest Scroll Saw Trade Show (August 4 and 5, 2023). By the way special thanks to Jim Ellenberger, who helped me with some usefull information and link, also he will present this US state set patterns at this Trade Show. Do you recognize symbols of your and other states? Interesting your thoughts, even if you will not plan to make these projects. Each pattern consists of 4 layers (3+background). There is no floating areas (one layer - one piece). Recommended thickness is 1/8 inch. All patterns are available at https://alexscrollsaw.com

Age test: who remember this item or even use it now? One of my customers from Germany asked me to make such pattern. Firstly I tried to make original size I wanted to make it realistic, but it came out very fragile and impossible to cut. I had to removed some details but it was look too simple. So I increesed pattern twise (pattern size is 8 x 5 inches) and here is final variant. I know that it looks like 3D cutting or with carving elements, but pattern is simpler than it appears, it is just glued layers without floating elements (one layer - one piece) Pattern at https://alexscrollsaw.com

Usually when I make pattern I study the object of pattern, I am look throught a lot of images, in this case I also listen some tracks and I like it. Do you listen country music? What do you recommend, I think I like modern country more. And here is preview of my new pattern: 4 layers, recommended size: 7,5 x 8 inches, 1/8 - 1/6 inch thickness pattern at https://alexscrollsaw.com

Most of my patterns and projects are animals, butterflies, sealife etc, but sometimes I want to make something different and unusual. Here is my new pattern: Devil skull - project could be assembled without gluing, with dowels. It consists of 47 pieces and 2 dowels, recommended size: 4,5 x 3,5 x 5,5 inches. Unfortunately I cant cut new projects now, so preview images are not photos, it is 3D visualisation. Pattern at https://alexscrollsaw.com

New wolf pattern, I plan to make several such patterns (silhuette of animal with scene inside). I made two variants: silhuette and framed, as an example added colored variant. Which one do you like more? And one more question: If you need black color how do you get it? Paint, stain or something else? Pattern at https://alexscrollsaw.com

I agree, it is the simplest one, but 13 layers make such great looking effect. Some scrollers dont cut all pieces, I understand that smallest pieces are most difficult, but more layers - better effect. Nice cutting.
-
3/4" is recommended thickness. Unfortunately I dont have an opportunity to cut and test it by myself, but I looked throught some forums and find out that scrollers use 1/2"-1" inch thickness, depends on project size. Recommended hummingbird size about 8x9", also I think it is more stable if you want for the project to stand, but if you want just assembling puzzles you can use thiner wood

Looks great! I like your way of coloring
